Have been going to this restaurant for years and always enjoyed it. It has changed drastically in the last year and this Saturday may be the last time I go. Breakfast of cold potatoes, soggy cold toast, bland omelet which I've enjoyed in the past and poor service. When I mentioned it while paying he said they would look into it. Too bad, guess I'll find another breakfast spot for Saturday morning market visits

good place for brunch, but their soups are the most famous soups in town
black eyed bean soups are available for both vegetarian or non vegetarian
seasonal soups available and they are all delicious

Warning! This place has been different from last year. We loved this restaurant for years, and visited it for breakfast each time we went to eastern market. But things have been different last time visit. The menu changed and price went up. It looks like the owner has been changed to me. AND, think twice before you order waffle, $7.5 just for one piece of fluffy waffle with syrup. Totally over priced!

Great food, and a chance to meet interesting strangers.
There is something for everyone here, from vegan, to meat lovers, you will be able to find plenty of great options. My favorite is the biscuits and sausage gravy, with a double order of home fries, but the curried split pea soup is a close second (I know, sounds strange, but you will love it).response / report this review -

The quality here is always spot on. All fresh, local ingredients. Amazing soups. My favorite is their reuben sandwich, with soft, fresh corned beef and grilled buttery rye bread. Great variety of specials each day. On market days (Saturdays) expect a wait, but it's worth it! You'll also share a table if you have less than 6 people, which is a great way to meet new people.

The place itself is clean and solid, kinda nice market feel but my salad? It was just a bunch of cut up lettuce. I mean really? Couldn't you have put a slice of tomato? Cucumber? Onion? Nothing. Just exactly 2 thin carrot slices and a small handful of red cabbage, how about that for imagination huh? Oh well
