The rueben was wonderful, the steak and cheese sub was also delish. Pumpkin crunch cake was out of this world. Debra was also very helpful, awesome cook and server.

We went here for a wine tasting after we saw the sign on the highway. We have been to several other VA/NC wineries while we were visiting. As soon as we pulled in and saw the "vineyard", we should have turned around. It's in an old historic building and sometimes quaint places like that are the best. We had 8 samples of wine for 5 dollars. Every one of our wines was dreadful. They tasted like vinegar. The only wines I typically don't like are the fruit and dessert wines but here, every wine has a similar smell and taste. Please visit other wineries in Virginia or North Carolina. There are way better ones out there.

[editing since it's true, we didn't complain on site]. Sadly, there is no getting away from one fact: the wine tasted bad to both of us. Maybe tastes differ. We didn't try the food. The setting was a rural va deli and shop with a wine counter; far from what we expected from other winery visits or anything with retreat in its name. So not an idyllic relaxing stop you think you're getting when you get off the highway.

The good was very tasty and prepared fresh. The wine was not very good at all. Some tastes as if the grapes were actually raisins. It seemed as though they took other brands and mixed them together to call their own
