One of the most special collections making up Wynwood’s art-filled galleries, the private holdings of collectors Mera and Donald Rubell are a must-stop on the global art go-around. (They were neighborhood pioneers, after all.) The Rubells’ at once controversial, eccentric, and thought-provoking pieces include Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, and Keith Haring in spades; they’re known for supporting young American artists as well. Opt for the audio tour, which is included in the price of admission, but if you can time it right, plan your visit around the twice-daily guided tours (at 11am & 3pm). After 23 years in the neighborhood, the family recently announced they’ll be moving their collection to a 2.5-acre campus designed by Selldorf Architects in 2018, which will include 40 galleries, a research library, and a tropical sculpture garden.

Not my kind of art. Weirdest art I've seen in awhile. But I'm rating it low on the fact that it doesn't match the other free galleries in the area in quality or content.

I know they are moving, and it bums me out. Ive been to events, openings and just normal browsing. the art is quite good, the space is bright and open. Parking does suck so hopefully new site will resolve that. I love the Rubell. From special events to normal weekends, I also find something new and fresh to get hypnotized with.

This place is an absolute must see in Miami! They're moving to Allapattah, but the current gallery is fantastic, and the neighborhood is super interesting. If you're coming to Miami to see art, a visit to the Rubell Family Collection should be on your list.

Great art collection. Vintage style, makes you almost miss some rooms if not the map and being a scavenger!
