Small playground that's not the easiest to access. Really could use a baby swing.

Broken glass bottles and condoms. Definitley not a safe place to take kids or pets.

It's a giant park with a giant blue whale! The park is located in a "crater". Sometimes live music is played here. Has an upper and lower section.
The upper section is where teenagers go to have sex and drink 40s.
I love the wooden foot bridge that meets lunar park trail!
The park has defunct tennis courts. Have not been in service since I can remember.
Might turn it into skate park!

Definitely a hidden gem. I have been in Fayetteville 12 years and just found this place by searching for a park nearby where I was at downtown.

I enjoy taking a nice quiet walks there. It's not the best park but it's very peaceful because of it.

This used to be a wonderful park when I was kid in the 60's. It had huge concrete marine lifethe largest whale any kid had seen on land that could be climbed, a turtle to sit on. A huge bonus was Moses. He had a small shack he lived in on the edge of the park with chickens and goats. He had cataracts over both his eyes, but he would give you his Bible and ask a child to flip thorough and give him a scripture place and he could quote it from memory almost to the tee each time. He was fascinating to the children who were totally mystified by him. Then later during the 70's anti-war protests with Jane Fonda once and band after band played there. Great memories for all of us who went there.
