We did the entire old RT 66 trip in one shot. This was our first RT 66 museum / attraction that we stopped at during our trip. This museum, and the others attached to it, set a benchmark that no other museum / attraction could match! I love to photograph the eccentric, esoteric, eclectic, and there was enough to fascinate me for over an hour in just that one museum alone. We really appreciate the collections, the displays, the narrations, and the effort put into building the spirit of RT 66! I love the display of the hippie van. Great bathroom facilities.

Wow, what a great place! If you are interested at all in Route 66 this is a must. Three floors of memorabilia, you could easily spend three hours here.

Absolutely amazing. We arrived at 3:50 and it was to close at 4, the owner was kind enough to stay open and even give us a personal tour. Very touching.

They have the Volkswagen bus that the character Fillmore from Cars was based on. It belonged to a popular person who traveled Route 66 many times.

Very informative when it comes to Rt66 the mother road, the history of Rt 66 is so important to us in the USA we should never forget how many of us started are life using it with our parents. To this day it's still a great road to take for a slower pace, stopping and shopping along the way.

This entire town should get the recognition it deserves!
And the museum and other things to do in that little town are amazing!
We met the mayor and if he's anything like he was to us, I'd like to see him run for president!
I can't wait to go back there again!

First of all, why would you drive by a town called Pontiac without stopping at the Route 66 Museum? Great memorabilia and it's quite large. Nicely displayed. Admission is by optional donation. Helpful staff. Glad I stopped.
