I took a master naturalist course which met here for day in early autumn. I had never been out this way nor knew of the preserve. Beautiful, not crowded, far enough from highways so you don't have to hear semis, and lovely water. I think I will come back with my family - they have showers and a playground and it seems a perfect campground. Only downside is that there isn't much in the way of food nearby, but you can take a quick drive to a nearby town in case you need something.

Beautiful location, nice spacious, shaded and level campsites. Not cramped at all. Shower house meticulously maintained as is rest of park and campground facility. We will be back soon.

I honestly wouldn't even give it .5, I called to ask about site availability the other day, the host had thought she hung up after but didn't and she began talking and making fun of the phone call and what I was asking because I didn't not reserve one as I was looking into closer options. She has been this way every time that I call. She's only nice when you're giving her money to check in.

Great place to camp for the weekend.The people running the park was very nice and Accommodating. Some of the limbs were a little low for our fifth wheel. The place is fairly cheap. It was 34 dollars for two night's. No water hook up. You fill your tank coming in, of course there's a dump station. They even gave us tickets to the local tractor pull! My boys loved the nature trails and wild life. WE WILL BE BACK!

My family and I had the best time here!! Jerry was so awesome to show us our campsite when we arrived and talking to us about the trails! Everyone was so nice!! The kids activities for that weekend (memorial weekend) were so great !! They had fishing derby , a bubble party, and we decorated the kids bikes and had a parade with them!! We will be returning soon!!

A lot of trails, a fairly nice woods and prairie, but the main map does not help you find where to get on the trails, or what lengths they are. We wandered around a bit confused looking for the actual trails, but eventually found them.

I've been going here for years. I love this place. Well kept and affordable. Sooooo pretty!! If you're wanting to camp, this is the place.
