Pros: Beautiful bay area and surrounding towns. Good public transportation system within the school. Professors are outstanding. Respectable departments are marine biology, theater/dance and criminal justice, as well as the law school. Many performing arts students come here specifically for the London study abroad program. That aside, in general, this school ends up being used as sort of a dumping ground for white, politically far-right leaning, economically privileged students with mediocre high school transcripts. These students arrive needing very remedial college courses, of which RWU offers plenty, and are able to take them under the guise of belonging to a prestigious school. The issue with the campus being flooded with these "frat boy" types is that binge drinking among underage students becomes rampant, loud, out of control dorm parties wreak havoc on the campus, and "locker room talk" and harassment of female students is plentiful. Serious students who do decide to attend typically use their time as an opportunity to boost their GPA in order to transfer to a more elite school after one or two years.

for the past two years this college failed my daughter with transition into college life, failed at counseling my daughter when she needed help and failed to accommodate her need in a timely fashion having us move my daughter twice within two weeks time. A big "F" for the housing department. If you do need to come here for a specific education path god help you, other wise DON"T COME HERE!

Liberal arts school. No direction provided. Left with a useless degree. All the 5 star reviews were written by students who were requested to wrote review by school administration. The verbiage was provided as well. There are better schools out there that will point you in the direction where you want your career to go!

Best school I ever attended, hands down. Love the free thinking atmosphere, professors who care, tuition freeze, and gorgeously aesthetic grounds. The college kids are all pretty nice too and I'm a commuter but I get along with everyone in the dorms too. It's worth the money because RWU gives back. I know I sound like they made me do this but I never had this wholesome/fun/exciting of an experience in high school so I'm just so pleased to be the recipient of a great scholarship for my hard work. Go Hawks!
