  As an auto mechanics teacher for 21 years, I'm really picky when I need work done on my truck that I can't do. I trust these guys to do the work right.

  Although repairs are done well, they go through areas of your car that are not relevant to your repairs at the time. Why? To charge you more on services! Even if you decline the extra repairs, they still charge you additional labor fees for the time they took to look for other possible repairs. My 300 repair ended up being over 800 and they didn't even speak to ME about it. It's MY car, they didn't even call ME about it, they called my husband. Even he said he didn't authorize some repairs to be done but they did it anyway. When I talked to a guy there at pick up, all I got was a "What do you want me to do about it?" Make sure you deal with the OWNER, not the intimidating guy with the crossed arms and glasses. Nightmare.

  We trust Rockdale Automotive as our family car repair place. They only fix what's needed and the prices are fair. They've even come in under estimate! But first and foremost nothing beats a mechanic shop you can trust.

  would not recommend .poor. follow though dropped off my truck the night before for brake inspection,did not get a call back,had to call them at 4;00.then was told i needed almost all brake parts on the truck.,then if you question them they get snotty about it.i think the owner pays someone for the other review or had someone else fill it out for him!!! took my truck to another shop and found out it was just brake pads and rotors.

  So far I've been quite happy with my experiences with Rockdale Automotive and the owner has been great to talk to and very knowledgeable. Having only limited interface with them and the cost of the work I've had done to two vehicles, I was between a rating of four or five. I went with five because, at this point, I trust the owner and that is HUGE these days. I also much prefer to support a small local business. But again, the trust factor is very important when going to a small business as there is a direct connection to their income and their desire to recommend work that may or may not be necessary. I definitely like them and would recommend them at this point.
