Rico's world kitchen is always a 5 star restaurant. My family has been coming here for years. Just had the special today shrimp and grits and the chicken hopefully you get a chance to enjoy it like we did. Amazing dish and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Will always come back. I am sorry I never sent a review before. 5 stars every time.

What a lunch! Fried green tomato & portabella mushroom sandwich. Delightful. Tomato soup w lobster. Yum. I forget the name of the desert but pecans and chocolate chip pie with banana ice cream. Glorious.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rico and Katie over the weekend before I even had a chance to try Rico's World Kitchen. The food is absolutely amazing!! The owners are very friendly as well as the staff that I had contact with. I will definitely be going back and recommending them to any and everyone, thanks guys.

The food here is great. The service here is great. Everything here is great. Except for the parking. The restaurant itself is on a corner and the parking lot is a little wonky, but there are other spots to park close by. So you'll be able to get parked easily. It does get pretty busy around lunch time some days, so don't always expect a super quick visit. But, like I said, everything is great. So the wait and the parking is worth it.

I love Rico's and visit it on a weekly basis. The food is great, fresh, and their specials are always creative and delicious. I always tell people to visit when they ask me for a good restaurant in Buford.

However, nothing aggravates me more than when I go in mid afternoon, usually around 2-2:30, and I tell them my party size and they ask if my whole party is there to be sat and if not, they make me wait in the lobby. I find this infuriating because at the time I usually visit, the restaurant is usually at least 50% empty and there is plenty of space. I completely understand not seating a party until the full group is there during very busy times, but when the restaurant is mostly empty, I hate getting this kind of abrupt welcome to a restaurant that I usually really enjoy.

Overall, I recommend Rico's most of the staff is very kind and has gotten to know me and my regular group that I go with, but this is something I wish they would address.

Original amazing food, the pork rinds are the best appetizer and enough for 2 people. The cream cheese cherry chicken was cooked perfectly and even. Glad to see downtown Buford home to more and more local joints.

Good atmosphere and good food. Great shrimp and strawberry salad. Update: Food was good and service good, but quite a few flies (inside and out) kind of disappointing.

One of my favorite places. They do everything right from service to food. HIGHLY recommended if you've never been.

The chicken sandwich with fried chicken is fantastic. It is cooked perfectly juicy and crispy. White sangria is light and fresh with a sweetness that's not cloying. Note: Saturday nights are busy and loud.

Great food, even better wait staff and reasonable prices make Rico's a "must dine" in my book. Make sure to try the fried, stuffed potato Awesome!

Great regular menu with must try specials. Something as simple as fried pork skin is done right at Rico's. We've been here 4 times to try the menu and have always over ordered so that we can enjoy the selections. Great staff and greater food. Desserts are a must also.

If you are looking for excellent service and wonderful food please try this place. My husband and I were very satisfied with our food choices. I had the Cuban chicken sandwich and he had the Shrimp Po Boy. All I can say is delicious.

This is one of those places where you go and you have the daily special and just sit there thinking 'how the hell did this just happen?'

How did I just get a meal that has the same sophistication as any 4-star restaurant that I've been to in Atlanta? Or anywhere for that matter? Minus any pretense at all?
Why the hell did I not know about avocado cake? Avocado. Cake. WTF?

Then you talk to Rico and his mom (maker of said avocado cake, all the desserts and Rico's mentor and inspiration). And it becomes clear. This man LOVES food and his mom. He goes to work everyday, I swear, if only to make his mom proud. It brings a goddamn tear to my eye just thinking about it.

Everyone here follows that mindset. They are trying to give you the best they can. Yeah, It might take an hour to get seated, but you're gonna wait for that seat. And you're going to be thankful you did.
