Stop here while traveling from Maryland to Iowa. Being a Sunday night it was not busy. The lady at the front desk was real nice and helpful. The room was very nice inside and clean. They have just been renovated. I would stay here again for sure
The room was clean but the cleaner they used smelled a little weird. Plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable. Basically what you'd expect and I was happy with my stay.
Needed a last minute, cheap place to stay the night, checked in around 9 or 10 p.m., got to my room and as usual I did my inspection of the place, check the mattress looked fine, lifted the bed skirt on the box spring and it was loaded with bed bugs. The employee initially doubted my claim and said "we don't have bed bugs, are you sure they are not ants or something?" I told her I would show her and she did follow me to the room and when I showed her under the bed skirt she jumped back and then apologized and agreed and then cancelled my charge. I would advise inspecting under the bed skirts and all over before staying here.
Clean and comfortable! Staff was super nice. Bed was comfy, everything worked, lots of amenities. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Would stay here again for sure!
Hotel was easy to find. Staff was friendly. Room was decent. Faux hardwood floors were a little dirty and the room felt damp. I had to open the door to try to air out a bit. Room is what you'd expect for the price. I came to take my children to the zoo. Knew we wouldn't be in the room much at all so it didn't bother me. Pretty basic hotel. No Continental breakfast or pool. But it's close to restaurants so it wasn't a deal breaker.
Of the four Red Roof Inns we have stayed in around Columbus in the past few weeks, this was by far the nicest. Appeared and smelled very clean and I was very impressed by the layout as compared to the others as well. The manager on duty when we checked in (early check-in at 11AM or so) was wonderful. The manager who took over for her was not so much. She was very rude. No customer service skills whatsoever. I'd stay here again.
The room was pretty nice for the cost. The bed was very comfortable and don't get me started on the pillows. It's over by the Wendy's and McDonald's on hilliard Rome Rd.
Let's be perfectly clear, it's a Red Roof Inn not the Hilton. With that said, the beds are super comfortable, the shower has hot water and the rooms are clean. We had to put up with loud guests in the parking lot until 2:30am but that isn't the fault of the hotel, that's inconsiderate people. As long as you go into it with the proper expectations you won't be disappointed.
I was extremely shocked at how nice this budget hotel was. I think it was recently remodeled and they did a great job.
I usually stay at nicer hotels when I travel for work but just about every place in town was booked for the weekend. The only other opening for a room that night what is more than twice as much money for a place that was not twice as nice. Highly recommended.
Room was very clean, cozy and newly renovated. My husband and I stayed here every weekend for 10 weeks and requested for the same room and they accommodated our request every time. Wendy's, ihop, McDonald's and Perkins are within walking distance and across the street are more restaurants and stores.
We stayed at Red Roof Inn at 5001 Renner Rd. In Hilliard OH last night. Upon check in I made sure we could have 2 rooms right next to each other. Mindy at the front desk said no problem. So we got two rooms right next door to each other. We went to dinner and came back a few hours later to realize that the heater in one of the rooms did not work. We were told to come to the front desk and they could move us to a different room. So we pack our stuff back up and go to the front desk. Mindy informs us that she could move the one room, but she could not move both. I never would have stayed at this hotel if we couldn't have 2 rooms side by side. I understand being so full that it would be impossible to get two together, so I just said we would find a different hotel. I was then informed by Mindy that if we wanted to leave that's fine, but we couldn't get a refund. What?? Why? I never would've paid if we couldn't have 2 rooms next door to each other. There are many other hotels in the area we could have stayed at. Mindy then called her manager Kim who said the same thing. Not wanting to waste the money I just spent for 2 rooms, we ended up staying. Then my 11 year old goes to take a shower and finds this razor blade in the bathtub. That is completely unacceptable!!! How could a house keeper miss something like that. I also had a 1 year old and a 4 year old with me. What if one of them would've gotten their hands on it? I didn't go back to the front desk, because obviously Mindy, nor her manager Kim were going to be of any help. We ended up leaving after that and went to the hotel next door which was much cleaner and the staff much more friendly. I will never, ever stay at a Red Roof Inn again.
