We were there for a conference. Rooms were clean, but help was limited and not helpful. There evidently was a fight were our display tables were set up and everything was flipped the first night and in the a.m. and no hotel employees bothered to help clean it up. We also had rooms not unlocked in time for our classes so it was hard to know where to send attendees. Lastly, our luncheon wasn't set up on time and the food wasn't all there which through our afternoon schedule out of whack. On the bright side the food was delicious and the restaurant help was very polite.

They try. The reviews we read prior to arriving were accurate. This place is old and it shows, but they do try with a friendly staff and cleanliness. The only thing that really made this stay sub-par were the carpets in the room. Although the room was clean, it felt dirty because the floors were so stained. This hotel would benefit greatly with new carpet and fresh paint, but realistically a renovation is badly needed.

Rooms are fine, bed could have been more comfortable. Online reservation price on their own website was cheaper than in person, and the front desk wouldn't honor the online price? Otherwise, the stay was fine, breakfast was pretty good. Be warned that it's a long walk from the parking lot to the elevators if you're carrying heavy bags. Location was key for this stay, and I'll probably stay again.

A nice stay. We have been here many times and I have always been pretty happy. I have to say that it is really showing the wear and tear of being a popular convention location. Here in March, we found our room to be very warm. I turned the thermostat to 55 and we were still in the high 70's the next morning, so the A/C was clearly not in service. Our room was on the 11th floor of "the tower". The carpet needs replaced already, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I like the chair and ottoman in the room. Breakfast was included and was very good, with biscuits and gravy, eggs, country potatoes, and ham. Fresh fruit and juices were available too. Very nice staff.

Great location relative to downtown Topeka and easy to access from the interstate. The staff was friendly and gracious. The building is old, but it's clean and has character. The room decor is a bit dated (1990s?). Overall, the room and bed were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a nice amenity and the standard 12pm check out was much appreciated.

Very clean, pleasant stay, comfortable beds, quiet, even with a full hotel. Down side was one of their 2 elevators broke down on our floor preventing the second elevator from being able to be called to our floor. We found the emergency stairwell led to the back of their empty kitchen or to their empty basement area. They needed signs to direct customers how to get to the lobby.

Great service...comfortable rooms. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Their dining area is quite lovely. It's a wonderful eating experience. Nice swimming pool. Love the wifi.

Lets face it, No one really plans or wants to go-to Topeka.... It just happens accidentally or inadvertently. This Ramada gives hope that not all is lost. While the hotel is slightly on the old side, it's still well kept and is what you'd expect from the Ramada chain. The restaurant and bar are actually pretty impressive and why I keep on going back (when I'm forced to be in Topeka Kansas)

Stayed here to attend a concert at the Topeka Performance Center. Didn't care for the first two rooms offered, both internal with no windows, poor ventilation and too heavy fragrance. Third room was nice, sunlight and minus the fragrances that give me headaches. Hotel provided shuttle service to and from the concert, a big plus due to parking concerns and inclement weather. Cover was provided in the pick up area at the concert venue and at the hotel when exiting the vehicle. Rooms were a bit dated, but comfortable and clean. Surrounding area was a bit sketchy and there weren't many amenities. Noticed that the West Side of Topeka was far nicer and had more restaurants, shopping and attractions.

Very clean. The staff is very polite and courteous. Breakfast was wonderful! They could accommodate a larger family in a room with 3 queens which can be hard to come by. I would come back!

My room was clean and breakfast was decent. Most of the staff were friendly. I liked having The fridge and microwave in the room. The walls are very thin so you hear everything in other rooms. My bed was very hard and caused me not to sleep well and the floor I was on had a musty kind of odor. The room itself just felt old. My carpet and the chair and the door just old and worn. My keys deactivated 4 different times during my 4 day stay which was a huge inconvenience. The neighborhood is a little sketchy.

I liked this place. If you are expecting brand new with all the latest trends go elsewhere. His hotel has character and charm. I'm sure this is one of the finer establishments in town. Like many others have stated the breakfast is top notch. The staff is very pleasant and helpful in giving out local information.

Amber at the front desk started everything off great with my last minute booking! The pool and hot tub were also great, very clean and the hot tub was boiling, felt great after a long ride! Shauna made sure our dinner needs were met, very nice and personable. Michael and Ted were extremely hospitable and made breakfast a very enjoyable experience! A quiet night after a long day is important, Downtown Ramada Topeka has all the bases covered, and for the price, you can't beat it!

I had a very pleasant experience while staying here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts in the morning were included in the room rate and very tasty. The staff there in the restaurant area were extremely helpful and remembered me by name and preferences. Very comfortable and quiet room with comfy bed. Parking was easy. They offered a shuttle to the workshop I attended daily. An all around wonderful experience. I am definitely going to stay here again. Some people have commented on the "dated' decor, but that didn't bother me. I understand they will be doing updating however for those who are concerned about that.
