I purchased a $15000 used vehicle from rb fries on june 10 2011,before picking up my suv i was assured that it would be checked out and fully serviced. The first issue was the nav. didn't work even though it was advertised with nav. turns out they gave me a disc with nothing on it a $250 cost to me. About 7 weeks into owning the vehicle the ac stopped working (it was never that cold to begin with) I first tried to add free-on but it was full. So I called RB Fries and spoke to Chris Spaulding, the salesman who sold me the truck. I explained about the navigation disk issue and the ac issue. I asked that he atleast diagnose the ac for me. He said absolutely no problem. I had to get my vehicle there which is a 45 minute drive, find alternate ways to work as well as being late and leaving early for the pick up and drop off's. Jason the mechanic had called me and said there wasnt any free-on in the system and they charged it and it was working. He claimed they were going to run a dye test to check for leaks. He called me back later in the day when I was on my way to pick it up. He now states the air has stopped working and he had no idea why. He said they checked the whole system and that everything was working fine and they were puzzled by this. After making it sound like an electrical problem that needed to be diagnosed by a specialist from the dealership where it was manufactured. I took my vehicle to motor world, before the end of the day we found out the the compressor was not kicking on and it was that simple. Now that is a $1300 job, again at my expense. Not to mention the $175 dollar fee just to diagnose what was wrong. I decided to call Jason at RB Fries to question why he wasted my time a few weeks back when we took it to him and he said the system was fine and that it was not the compressor, he acted like he never made that statement. Must have forgotton he left a message and it was recorded on my answering machine! Im very discusted that I wasted my time getting the "free" unreliable diagnostic from RB Fries that was completely wrong. They made my situation worse and now won't even take accountability for it. As if it couldnt get any better there is a slight oil leak in the engine valve and thats an instant $285. more. Ive had this vehicle 2 months and it's been nothing but costly to me. I would never do business with this dealership again. I am a frequent buyer and have delt with many dealerships. I understand problems happen but the only actions they took were inaccurate, deceptive, and a waste of everyone's time.
