We went to a bank first. Their fees and interest rates were terrible, they never kept us in the loop without us calling. Ask for Joe Keller he made the process simple and either texted, called , or emailed back to our every question.
This place is an absolute joke. We applied for an FHA loan and have got nothing but a run around. Been switched between 4 different people in the process. We started at your typical 3.5% Down. No big deal. Now all of the sudden it is 20% down on a FHA loan? You guys are out of your mind. God forbid we can actually get anyone to call us back EVER. Has been the worst costumer service experience. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY NOT EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY.
They give you a price to get you on the hook. Then after they get your $500 b.s. deposit, the price will go up every time you talk to them. That continues until you can no longer participate in the scam. Goodbye $500!
The $500 must pay people for their 5 star ratings.
Anytime I hear of someone wanting a house, I warn them about quicken loans.
TRUTH
Unresponsive, poor communication, not like the "Rocket Loan" they advertise at all, very disappointing. You could lose a house trying to work with these guys. We ended up going with our local bank. Seemed like our $300,000 mortgage was too small for the guy we were dealing with and he had bigger fish to fry on the West Coast. No follow through so we gave up on them after 4 days. Bank of Ann Arbor kicked their butt on service in every aspect, made the process super easy, and will be our lender.
If I could give them a zero I would. This company is will continue to pester you down the road for a refinance. They say we can save you money but in the reality you will end up paying more for closing cost and points. Its better to just make a few extra payments to lower your term. Honesty in one week the called me everyday. I'll probably look at a different bank to pay them of so I quit be bothered with soliciting calls.
Reel 'em in! Give them a piss poor appraisal that they will not contest, even though the ADDRESS was wrong and sell (or attempt to) them something that they (the consumer) doesn't want. Make them do the legwork for something they've already paid for. Etc, Etc. Go in with eyes wide open, but be prepared to pull out quick when you start seeing red flags. Consider your $500 appraisal fee a costly lesson and move on.
I wish I could give zero stars. Very disappointed. I've been working hard to create a credit score, I specifically told them I wanted to discuss my plans before pulling credit, they did it anyway and it immediately dropped my score 14 points! They tried to say other factors reduced the score but every factor is in perfect standing apart from the excites credit pull.
Only after doing the pull did they say what I was planning didn't fit they model, which is why I wanted to discuss before getting the score which was good and not anymore. Thanks for nothing
One of my clients are working with (NOT) Quicken Loans right now and the only thing that has been quick about the process is the intake process. They run your credit and promise you so much and then they ask for more employment information and then tell you that your credit score has dropped, but they can still give you a low interest rate, but you need more money down and then they ask for every document at least two more times. How does a credit score drop and you get to keep your low interest rate?
Excellent customer service!
I just bought a home and used Quicken for my mortgage company. Every member of their team that I dealt with is friendly, informative, and professional. They even have credit counselors who will work with you to get your credit where it needs to be if you do not already qualify.
This company is top notch and the customer service is second to none. I will be recommending them to everyone I know for their home financing needs.
After the you deal with you initial lender, it goes down hill quick. It seems that all the paperwork that was needed to get you pre-approved needs to be doubled to still not be approved. Also everyone should know that Quicken uses third-party companies. After being told everything looked good, I was told by the lender that there 3rd party appraiser could not get back back closing and the date would be moved. I had already contacted my apartment, bills and work as it was 11 working days from close. I had explained to them that I could not financially move that date back and that I had already contacted all the persons above about moving. All I got was a sorry and my $400 Earnest back. But I now get to find a place to live in 30 days and I'm also in more debt than when I started. I still have no home no equity and no yard for my dog. I can honestly say one of the worst experiences I have ever had to go through as far as stress and Financial expectations. I pray nobody has to go through that type of stress and frustration all alone.
Don't give these guys your number. They will never stop calling. I get multiple calls everyday. I had to block them.
Just pray to god you don't have to experience what I went through.I just don't understand how a company with so many positive reviews can make such a colossal mistake and not know how to fix it. Sometimes apologizing Is not enuff when you hurt people and put them in a the worst possible situation right before closing!!!! I truly believe that my experience was a nightmare, and I hope if you read this review you go anywhere else.
Once you get past the mortgage loan officer, the process goes right downhill. Be careful when you lock because if rates go down, you are stuck. They'd rather just close out the loan process than to work with you. Never mind the fact that they will keep your $500 required for an "Appraisal and processing fees". Quicken is like a huge bureaucracy and has MANY people stepping on each other's toes and do not take instruction well at all. They also do not know the rules for your own state. My suggestion would be to use a local loan officer. This was a lot of work for nothing.
An amazing place to work. Continuily focused on improving the client experience Everything we do focuses on increasing efficiency while moving that technology needle to the max. Couldn't recommend a better mortgage company for people looking to purchase a new home or refinancing an existing property.
