I have been going there for almost thirty years hunting and camping. My family loves it won't go anywhere else. Great place to get away from it all and relax.

Wonderful place for recreation. Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet campground, archery range, monitored gun range, beach, boat ramp, playground, picnic areas, ample parking throughout.

Beautiful scenery. Picnic tables. Beach for swimming. Dock and other places for fishing. A nice relaxing place.

We have come here a couple of times this summer and have enjoyed the park each time. There is fishing, a beach, a marina, and this time we tried the public rifle range. The range is modern and top notch and costs 2 dollars a shooter. The range officer was extremely nice and helpful and I would highly recommend the range to everyone. We will be sure to stop by again soon.

Nice Family Beach. Water was more shallow and beach is smaller than the Mounds Facility. Very clean bathroom and shower house. Beach had been raked and cleaned, nicely mowed. Quiet. There are a lot of geese. This isn't something that bothers me so it doesn't affect my review, but I do want people to know there are a lot of geese if that is a problem for them. Staff was more than helpful.

IDNR could do a lot better with this place. There are some nice things about it. They have a campground with nice showers and a beach but it is surrounded by Canada geese (an invasive species Introduced here by DNR). There are no trails here.
There is a dock to fish on that is wheel chair accessible, an archery range and a gun range.
They have an awesome boat ramp but the courtesy docs are too short for houseboats. The marina is privately owned and doesn't offer much. Pontoon and jon boat rentals, worms, minnows, gas, candy bars and pop. They could do so much more as well. Lots of gravel instead of concrete. Doesn't seem to ramp up in quality from year to year like a good business would do. They need to go to Lake Cumberland to see a real marina with super long courtesy docks, a well stocked marine store with a restaurant, etc.response / report this review -

♿️ great wheelchair accessibility here. Fully accessible bathrooms and showers at campgrounds. Beach has a ramp that goes all the way to the water. (Just had to clear a bit of debris).
Didn't get a chance to see if there were accessible trails here or not. I'll update when I return.response / report this review -

Awesome natural resource for fun and adventure. Fishing, camping, boating, shooting range and a swimming beach. Lots of fun!
