I'm a picky doting dog owner. I only have good things to say about Dr Covert and the techs that assist. Worked me in the schedule on occasions where I was really worried and couldn't wait for an appointment. Also, supportive of my choice to titer vs vacinate.
Dr Pytel took care of our dog for 5 years up until we had to put him asleep. When I attempted to return he told me I was not welcome as I had been rude and discourteous to his staff in the past. I was absolutely floored as I could not remember any instances of the sort. Dr Pytel is an excellent doctor and his prices are reasonable. You just have to make sure any interaction with anyone on his staff is not being mistaken as rude or he will not service your pets. His business must be awfully good to turn away loyal clients.
Best local vet.Staff is friendly and they really go the extra mile in service. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else
Very friendly staff! Helpful, encouraging and supportive of how you want to take care of your pet/animal.
My french bulldog a is a new patient here. But our checkup was very thorough, they treated my dog respectfully and they are knowledgable. Great place.
7 years ago when i brought my 11 week old german shepherd to see this office. They told me he tested positive for heart worms, being a college student i could not afford the extremely expensive treatment. I continued to take him for the next 6 years. One year he hurt his paw so bad i thought it was broke, i took him in as an emergency and dr pytel was out so i had another vet working there at the time. He gave my dog a shot that made him extremely sleepy so he could get exrays.he stay knocked out for 8 hours after i got him home, which myself like others drove upwards of 30 minutes one way. Im talking so drugged i had to carry him to my car and then from my car. Last year i finally took him to my girlfriend who is a vet tech. I told her he had been diagnosed with heart worms. She ran tests, and evaluated his blood, along with sending it to an external company for a double check. ALL TEST CAME BACK NEGATIVE. They said the dog never had heart worms. It took 2 calls to dr pytels office to find out that they are using old tests, that are known to give false positives. When asking if they sent the blood work out to have it checked, they said no. They were more than willing to poisen my dog, which could have killed him, and charge me a lot of money, without a double check. When hearing this i told her about his paw that one year. She said they must have gave him too much and there should have been a shot to reverse the effects. I shower her his medication they prescribed him and she also said that is too much. I wrote this review just to help others. Be aware! I will not be returning to this vet.
The vets are great! They care about you and your pets. I am extremely satisfied.
The docs and staff here love all animals and you sense that right away. They don't rush you out the door either. I drive 40min to see Dr. Pytel and have no regrets!
Great Vet, and get techd. Very reasonable prices. 3 waiting rooms, hours accommodate working families.
They take great care of your pets
Great Vet, Dr. Pytel is amazing as is the rest of the staff. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They take care of all animals great and small except horses. They are one of the few that I know of that take care of goats as well.
This is not close to where I live at all but it is totally worth the drive. Best vets I have ever taken my dogs too and they don't rip you off. They actually care and make it as cheap as they can.
Love this vet and esp Dr. Tom Pytel. He helps us with our farm animals and our domestic pets. The office is clean and the staff is great! The other Dr.'s are great too! Highly recommend them!
