We just left after waiting for at least 15 minutes without being greeted by our server. We were sitting right behind the host podium. We even went up to the podium and brought it to the hostesses attention. Sat there another 5 minutes and then watched our server go to a table sat after us with chips and salsa. I know the food is goodif you can get service. Have a school concert to go tocan't wait any longer. Not even busynow just frustrated.

I was a loyal customer at the old locationand had come to expect fast service, hot food and a fun experience.

While the new building is lovely, they need to work out the kinks. The restaurant was so cold inside that when I went back to my car, it was warmer than inside the building. Service was slow, and my food was cold, too.

I will wait a month or so before going back - and will hope that everything comes together. This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Lapeer so fingers crossed.

We tried again at their new location (didn't like their food when they were down town and had hoped it had improvedit's really pretty, looks great they have done a nice job with the design .The free chips and salsa are amazing, the bar selection is very very goodI was HOPING the food would be good3rd time giving them a try.seriously not good, I couldn't even take more than 2 bites. The guacamole was $1.50 for a tiny little cup and honestly, it was horrible and loaded in onionI want to like this place because it's close, but El Charrito is so much betterhonestly, learn their Guacamole recipe and ASK people if they want all that red sauce on everythingmy husband felt the same way. Sorrygotta give you another 1 star.

Fast friendly service!! Our waitress Mickey was the best!! Food was great as usual. New location is great and much better atmosphere. This is definitely my wife and my favorite restaurant in Lapeer. The owners are super friendly as well. Will be returning soon!

Service was excellentKim checked on us frequently The tacos had somewhat of a strong "taco mix" taste. The chicken fajitas were delicious. The chips and salsa was fresh tasting. We will be returning to try something else soon..

I'm gonna miss it being downtown a lot but they deserve the bigger building, the old Chinese buffet by wal mart.

I ordered fajitas to go Maybe I'm spoiled from eating in Mexican town Detroit but these were not fajitas. More like grilled chicken on top of grilled onions and peppers. Also the rice does not taste authentic it taste like boxed rice. The food was not terrible but did not taste like fajitas what's so ever. And I only got 3 corn tortillas that tasted like the gross ones from the grocery store. Also the chips did not taste like home made chips you expect to get at a Mexican place more like out of a bag. I was disappointed. I just wish I could find food as good as the places in southwest :/

The service and food were both outstanding. One of my favorite Mexican places. The salsa alone was worth the trip to this restaurant.

Good authentic food. The enchiladas we well done. Juicy chicken great sauce. The enchiladas verde were even better. I think the verde sauce was home made, at least it tasted like it. Easy parking downtown. Good place to stop if you are downtown.

Saw they had a special on Tuesday Tacos for a dollar! Wasn't sure what to expect for a buck but this place was totally worth it! I had soft chicken tacos and they were phenomenal. The chips and salsa they give you for free or just as good. Looking forward to coming back again and trying everything else they have.
