Everyone is very helpful.
I like Public Service because they are a local credit union. The one thing I don't enjoy is the wait times. I sometimes feel they are under staffed but they get the job done.
Horrible bank. After years of an active account I've come to find out they have taken 2 dollars out of my account everytime I use an atm that isn't theirs. Were talking taking 2 on top of the 3 the atm charged on 20 dollars, that's 25% Fee to use my own money. Take yours elsewhere, they could care less about you.
Be warned, PSCU will deactivate your debit card if you're late on a loan payment.
I'll admit up front that I failed to make my first HELOC payment on time, thinking that it would be automatically deducted from my savings. I am responsible for making sure that was done properly.
Now that we have that out of the way, let's talk about how poorly the situation was handled by PSCU. I received a phone call from a bank employee asking me to call her back. Nothing in the message indicated urgency or even the nature of the call. I called back and got voicemail. The employee called a day later and again left a vague message to call back. I was on a business trip and as far as I knew the question could be handled on my return. When I got home there was a letter in my mailbox indicating that I was delinquent on my payment. I went straight home and followed the instructions on the letter immediately. The letter told me to submit a payment via the online bill pay, which I did. Later that day I discovered that my debit card wasn't working. When I called the bank to investigate they told me my card was deactivated due to a past due balance. When I told them I'd submitted the payment already, they told me I had to wait until the payment posted to the loan account (3 days later).
Moral of the story is that PSCU will take extreme action with little warning or coordination. My account has been, with this one exception, in good standing for 4 years.
I am now changing to a different bank so that PSCU can never hold my funds hostage again.
Great bank! Got my coins traded in. Got my account set up. Super nice and helpful staff.
This place has the worst service. Even trying to get someone on the phone is a chore. I feel as if the handful of employees I have interacted with were so overworked they were unable to resolve the mistake PSCU made with our car loan. 26 mins of being on hold during normal working hours without talking to a representative, nice work!
I've had money come up missing from my savings account saying "Deposited into Shared Account", asked about it, and they told me I never put anything into my savings really, because for some reason I'm missing about $400 that I stuck in there about a year ago now, and y'all still pretend it never existed. So, as far as I'm concerned, my rating will never exceed a one star, nor will I ever put anything into my savings account with this place ever again.
I think it is a great credit union. The personal there is nice and friendly and give great service to you.
Great credit union! Always helpful and so nice!
