Prevu is an outstanding company. Rich Gibbons was our agent, and was truly phenomenal. Unlike other agents or brokers we've encountered in the past, Rich was honest, not pushy, and really good at listening to our needs and executing on them. He was instrumental in helping us identify and negotiate the purchase of our NY apartment, as well as navigating the complexity of financing, inspecting and then closing on it. On top of all that was Prevu's Smart Buyer Rebate, which helped us significantly and allowed us to extend further than we otherwise could. Thank you Rich, and the whole Prevu team, for the exceptional service, attention to detail, and hard work!

Introduced through a friend who had Prevu as buyer agent for his last several properties in the city. We, first time homebuyer, bought a 1 bdrm in Lincoln Square in Aug 2022. Prevu worked very well for us as we had good idea where we are looking to buy, what our budget is and what the budget can get. Seth was personable (he feels more like a friend than an agent). He worked diligently in scheduling viewing for us. Advising us on negotiating strategy (but is clear at the end of the day it is our decision to make). The best thing about Prevu to me is the purchase rebate - it all feels like a real partnership. It was still a lot of learning experience (hiring attorney, shopping for mortgages, scheduling and preparing for co-op board interviews - all of which come with its own set of challenges) but we were glad we had Seth and Prevu to guide us through. Prevu feels like a new generation home buying agent. We are very happy settling into our new home.

We worked with Rich Gibbons at Prevu to purchase our first co-op home in Brooklyn. Rich was extremely patient with us as first time buyers and supported us from our first offer all the way through to closing, including putting together a lengthy board package. He also provided incredible recommendations for home inspectors and mortgage brokers. Prevu was a wonderful company to work with as we were able to search for listings, book open house appointments, and communicate with our broker all online through their platform. The cash rebate at closing was the cherry on top of a great home buying experience. I would not hesitate to work with both Prevu and Rich again and have recommended their services to all of our friends buying in NYC.

When I was referred to Seth at Prevu, I knew I wanted to purchase an apartment in New York City, but didn't really know where to begin. Seth patiently explained the process to me, helped me understand the differences between condos and co-ops, and provided recommendations for inspectors, lenders, and attorneys he trusted.
Going into this process I was concerned that a realtor might push me to purchase something I couldn't afford, or that wasn't a good deal for me. Seth explained that realtors at Prevu are paid a wage and are not incentivized to be pushy in this way. This was true in my experience. Seth never tried to convince me to do anything I didn't want to do. Though he did encourage me to at least go to showings when I was wracked with indecision at the beginning of this process. That was a good thing.
This is my first time buying a home, and from what I have heard the process is more complicated here than in other places. I feel very grateful that I had Seth to guide me through all the document requirements, board interview process, and negotiations with the seller. I don't think I would have made it to closing without his help. It has been quite a process but I was able to purchase a small studio in the neighborhood I wanted, well within my price range. I can definitely recommend working with Seth for any other first time buyers in New York City!response / report this review -

Amazing experience and the best agent to walk us through our first purchase. We first heard about Prevu from Reddit and the process was smooth and simple. Our agent Seth Beverly was absolutely perfect. He always asked the right questions and opened up our minds to things that was not even in our radar. Seth was patient and helped us pick a good number of viewings to make sure we were picking the right place for our home, helped us prepare for the bidding and document submission, accompanied us through the inspection, guided us through the COOP process (NYC), and on top of all of that Seth took us to our closing. Picking out the right agent especially for a first time purchase is important, but with people like Seth and their concierge team this is definitely the way to go. At the end, once we got our keys, Prevu sent us a very nice rebate! Extremely grateful to Seth and Prevu, can’t wait to use them again on our next purchase. Check out this view :)
