  A fun little hill. They're dependent on lake effect, so if you visit after a warm spell it might be a bit icy. With a couple of their old lifts removed, getting to and from the best runs is a little trickier. The atmosphere makes up for it though, with a cute & comfortable chalet and low visitor numbers keeping line waits to a minimum.

  Friendly relaxed vibes, great views of the lake, and pretty big for the Midwest! No crowds or long lines here. Some genuinely steep runs included which are hard to find in the Midwest.

  All-day, lake effect powder, low lift, rental & food prices, no crowds, lots of runs of all skill levels, family friendly, only some groomed runs (lots of fresh runs), and easy access. Ski and snowboarding kids prefer the Porkies over Brighton, Alta, Park City, Marquette Mountain, Mad River, etc. Cons: down to one lift and upper tow-rope, no terrain park, a good drive from much of anything. (Pro tip: rent a lake shore cabin, buy groceries in Ontonagon, enjoy Lynn's Cafe in downtown Ontonagon but it's not in Google)

  Great ski area! I bought a one way lift ticket up and xc skied a bunch of the awesome trails on the backside of the mountain.
