Just stop for an adult beverage. Kathy was very nice. Cool place to stop.

Cabins are rundown and filthy. Mattresses feel older then the cabins themselves. The water pressure was non-existent and cold. Extension cords running all over the place are their poor standard of safety. Forget about fishing with any sort of lure! The weeds in this (pond) are horrendous!! The manager is a vile drunk who could only be found on a bar stool. The Owner couldn't be bothered Beyond accepting payment. I was charged an extra $60 for the week for my 4 month old baby!? Their dog that was loose on the property stole food from my picnic table daily, from my childs hands and entered the cabin numerous times. The owner and manager watched this happen and kept walking by, leaving me to shoe their dog away. I've never been more disappointed in a business in my life!!! There are so many other options in beautiful Northern Wisconsin, keep looking. You'll be happy you passed on this dump!

I spent quality time as a child up in Northern Wisconsin and always left feeling like I wanted to stay forever. Unfortunately Pope's Lodge has changed the way I look at the Northern Wisconsin area as an adult. The two owners showed zero respect for the customers spending a TON of money to spend a week in an extremely run-down cabin. Had we known what we were getting into at Pope's there is no way we would have decided to stay there. There are so many options out in Northern Wisconsin, don't waste your time or money on this dump. Thanks for nothing Pope's Lodge. Wish there was a zero star rating!

I would have given a good review if it wasn't for the suprise ending. My family (20 of us, some traveled cross country) met up here to vacation together for a week. We rented 2 cabins and had 2 small campers with us. We had a lovely week playing at the beach, fishing, etc. DESPITE the delapidated condition of the cabins and grounds in general. The place was dirty, shabby and run down, and our front door was falling off. My sister stepped right through a step that was rotten. Dan removed the step and then replaced it 2 days later. The owners dog ran around eating our children's food, our fire and our garbage (none of our dogs are allowed). DESPITE all of this I still would have given a 4 star review. My family was actually planning to all met up here next year and drop thousands more dollars until morning of check out.
Dan is mowing the yard on a rider as we were all packing up vehicles and cleaning. In front of our children and all Dan starts to shout at us to "Get your s***, and get the f***out. I need you out by 11. Hurry the f*** up!"
It was 10am and we were nearly done. We were all so shocked at his aggression and cursing.
Pope's Gresham Lodge was nothing special

40 years and still going to popes, great bar and fish fry, I have met a lot of nice people there. Great lake for blue gills. Nice and quiet and fun

Wait times are a bit long but food is good. Pretty sweet deal on the Friday all you can eat first fry.
