Michigan has no shortages of lighthouses, this is by far one of my favorite. The power of the water crashing against the breakers is a sight for sure.

This is everyone's favorite stop. It is not handicapped friendly and winter I would not recommend walking in front of lighthouse without ice cleats. Ice is very slick throughout winter and it forms a shelf over the top of the sea wall. In winter is it not clear, whether you are over land or on that shelf out over the water. Caution is necessary. There is a trail behind the light house, most locals know about it, but it isn't clearly marked for tourists. In winter is recommended to take that trail behind the lighthouse for safety. There are no bathrooms at night or in winter, which really should be addressed. Summer time there are night keepers at the lighthouse. You can walk the beach for miles. there is good kite boarding to the south and north of light house. It is a good Aurora Hunting spot but gets very congested during a good Aurora Storm, will think out in early morning hours.

Beautiful location. Not too much parking. We did not go into the museum. It cost $5 to enter. We had our dog and he wasn't allowed. We just explored the outside. Somewhat crowded. Go early to beat the crowds if you want pictures.

This historic light house is right next to a beautiful beach full of interesting stones and rocks! Although the breeze is a bit chilly in the summer, on a hot day the water is refreshing!

Point Betsie is a beautiful well restored lighthouse.
$5.00 lets you tour the attached living quarters with period furnishings and climb the tower to see the surrounding view. Knowledgeable tour guides are there to answer all of your questions. Also, don't miss visiting the museum located next to the gift shop which is included in the tour price.
A walk down to the beach to see the awesome waters of Lake Michigan will give you a lakeside view of Point Betsie, an altogether gorgeous lighthouse.

Point Betsie Lighthouse was the perfect stop for a cool and windy day. You can buy tickets (adults $5) that allow you to go up in the lighthouse and also visit a museum and the lighthouse living quarters. This would be the perfect place to bring a picnic lunch as the grounds are gorgeous!

One of the most beautiful lighthouses in MI! Point Betsie is beautiful to visit in every season. Summer is great - the beach is a small and little rocky but nice to swim at. Winter makes Point Betsie look completely different - I'd definitely recommend a visit at least once in winter. The light is open during the summer for tours.

Beautiful light house not too far off M22. Closed for season, but you can still get a good view from the coast side.

Beautiful sight but lacking a good vibe for tourists. Looks like there are apartments you can rent in the lighthouse. If you happen to be passing by check it out otherwise don't make a special trip for it.

Truly one of the more beautiful lighthouse locations in the United States. The hues of Lake Michigan and the crashing waves make it an ideal place to unwind.
