Place needs improvement as far as what they will take. Very picky and I am pretty particular on my clothing brands and the shape of things before taking them to places like this. Very disappointed.

I really like the staff, in my opinion they’re nice and friendly. Only thing I really dislike is bringing in clothes and getting offered wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy less than what I paid. Doesn’t even cover the gas I wasted to drive there. Three brand name items for $11. 🤷🏻♀️

Excellent in the hunt for shoes. The store reeks of lysol, though, and trying to find clothes there has always been a largely unsuccessful trial.

If you have any male clothing, don't even bother bringing it in. On multiple occasions I have brought clothes in but have been offer change(.00) offers. Brand new to barely worn clothing in great condition and are hit with responses like "this isn't the style we are looking for". Sometimes I often hope to find a male employee to look at my clothes because 80% of the store are women's clothing. Didn't expect all male clothes to treated with such bias treatment.

I brought items for them to look over and possibly purchase. I was told that they would text message me when the process was complete. Fourty-five minutes later (20 of that standing directly next to the counter) I asked one of the employees if they were finished. They told me they had been for a long time. I received no text message, and when I told the employee she said "Oh, well sometimes we write your name on the wall when we are finished." Fourty-five minutes of my life WASTED due to the careless employees at the Portage Plato's Closet. I will never go back to buy or sell.

Love the prices and clothing! Unfortunately the smell at the front of the store is so awful and overpowering I don't feel like I want to go there anymore. If someone had allergies, this would be a horrible store to shop at. It wasn't always like this.

I adore this store. I buy about 60% of the clothes actually worn by me here. Sure they have no interest in buying any of it back I get it. I usually get tired of stuff after its relevant and why would they buy outdated yet not vintage style? I am grateful their careful buyers select sexy and cute styles I ALWAYS get millions of random complements and flirtatious looks when I wear the clothes from here. Keep it up, you make me look amazing.
Legging supply drastically reduced. I hope that changes soon.. Wife and I always find great options here though throughout the store. Owner's reply noted and appreciated.response / report this review -

This place double charged my credit card this past week, good thing I checked my balance. The girl who checked me out stated my card didn't go through the first time, and re ran it, turns out I was charged for two transactions. I WILL BE GETTING A REFUND!!!
