Personally, I thought the staff were actually wonderful-- very genuine, kind and helpful.

The items they had seemed very nice & reasonably priced for being consigned.
Love their kiosk computer check-in system for consigners.

I came to sell a bunch of my items (ok, a mountain of 40+ clothes & just as much jewelry), yet, based on reviews, I tried to remain realistic. I realized that, based on what they knew they already had and/or needed, it was a toss-up at to what pieces they would/could actually buy from me, which turned out to be 2 little pieces of jewelry, a pair of black heels that were too big & a little clutch. Kind of a gamble to take all that across town. (I took it all to Style Encore first & they bought about the same number of items. Got a few $ more there, but not much difference.)
The majority of the rest, I took to Stuff Etc.
I put the rest on FB buy/sell pages, my profile & Craigslist, which included a pinstripe suit in perfect condition, a near new Nike quarter-zip long-sleeve, & a new Brooks windjacket, a light Olympic rings USA jacket, and 2 near new pairs of Hoka & Altra running shoes (expensive brands), and a new Athleta dress. Maybe these consignment places as a whole don't know true athletic quality brands, like the ones runners know? Nike isn't everything.

Advertisement for sales were not clear and misleading, and I felt like the manager there was condescending towards me when I pointed out the confusion. BUT the employees were very nice afterwards and I was given some discounts to make up for the confusion.

I got some pants that were marked my size but when I took them home, all but one pair didn't fit. When I brought them back they couldn't take them because they were on clearance. I told them it was OK but they could just have them and resell them. She said they couldn't do that. Then out of no where she gave me some coupons for $5 off my next purchase. She didn't have to do that, it was thoughtful & I appreciated it.

I was not very pleased with my experience but that was due in large part by my age. The store is great for early teens to twenty year olds. The store has a great selection of clothes and accessories.

Smelled like dirty laundry (only Plato's I've been to that has smelled this bad.) Men's clothing is slim. Women's clothes looked a plenty

Literally the worst store to ever experience or go to. I'd give it a lower rating if I could. The staff is no damn help. They need to change the percentage of which they price the clothes at and the percentage of which we receive. They insult you with how low they are willing to offer when they take little to none of the clothes you offer because they already have a plethera of ugly clothes taking up space. Staff is extremely unhelpful in ensuring customer satisfaction. They are biased as to how much money they give based on your age, every mother I've known to go always gets around $40 back and every teen I've talked to gets a Oh we can give you $6.50 :/. Try Style Encore they give you 70% which is hell of a lot better. Platos close down or do better. Scam

Most of the staff are females. I feel like they work there to be able to take home outfits of there choice and don't care much about helping others like their job entitles. The main lady that works there is not a nice person but quite smart with her choice of words, very manipulative type of lady in my opinion.

I brought in an entire bag FULL of clothes from the buckle and other high end places TWICE and they only took two things (which were the older items I didn't think would even sell!) And then made me tote back this 50lb bag by myself. I understand they only take certain brands, but looking on the racks, they have taken other people's non name brand items, like a home made bedazzled hat bought from walmart and excessive amounts of old styled clothes and told me some of the items i brought in had holes and stains and wear and tear, which, anything of poor quality i just donated to goodwill.
It would make more sense if they were consistent with their choices so you know why they're not taking it. Instead of going to rhe trouble to bring it in and get denied. Not worth it

Took in a box of brand new clothes, half of it I have purchased from Japan they took the semi descent ones (the ones I thought would get denied) and gave me back all of the items I thought would sell. A few of my items had price tags on it because they have never been worn. All of my clothes cost more than $10 a piece along with a pair of Dr. martin boots (which cost around $89). In the end, they gave me $32. I checked what i got back and they took two clothing items that had price tags on them and the two shirts alone cost $20 (combined: $40).

Total rip off and I question who judges what is acceptable and what is not. Majority of the clothes on the rack look used and outdated but apparently my clothing isn't for teens and early twenties? It's a waste of time.

Great clothes, jewelry, shoes, purses, & more at great prices! However, customer service is the worst! Only time customer service is good is when the main Boss/Owner is in, then the employees will work instead of gossiping about immature topics instead of working & helping their customers. SUGGESTION: Put cameras in your store so you can see how your employees work when the Boss/Owner is away, as the old saying goes; "When the cat is away the mice will play".

The employees working there are very lazy and rude. I always have to ask someone for a fitting room or to check out even. They also seem to only let one person do one job, so if the cashier is already busy everyone else will just stand around and make you wait until they are free.
I have had a cashier mess up my purchase and cause me to pay more than I was supposed to. Then I had to fight with the manager to fix it. THEY WANTED ME TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE!
I have had multiple items destroyed by the buyers. For example, I had a purse that they wadded up in a ball at the bottom of my bin and now it won't hold its shape, and I brought in a floor length Satin prom dress hung up nicely in a garment bag. When I got it back the garment bag was empty on top of my bin and when I went through the bin later my dress was again wadded up in a ball at the bottom. Now I have to pay to get the dress steamed!

Horrible customer service. They will sell items that have rips and stains but you go to sell it back to them the same exact way you buy it from them and they refuse because of the rips and stains. When you don't see what they're talking about and you ask them to show you, if they can't find it again they get very rude about it and they refuse to do anything.
