This place is completely packed every day at noon for a reason. No fear of waiting because You are never waiting in line for very long because the staff is so efficient- Thisis a HUGE bonus those of us who only get a half hour lunch break..My suggestion to all of you is to try the chicken bacon ranch pizza because it is out of this world!

I come here often because they have a good variety of pizza by the slice but also because their lunch special is super cheap! Their toppings and ingredients are fresh and delicious! However I find that too often their pizza taste bitter because its blackened on the bottom and I have also had ash on the bottom once. I realllllly wish they would clean their oven better- then this would be the perfect pizza spot.

This is the best pizza I've ever had. My husband and I have had a lot of pizza in N.Y. city and in Italy and this is our favorite place. We have been a regular customer of Picnic Pizza and just love it there. The pizza is a work of art. It is always fresh looking and nicely displayed. There is always a large selection of slices to choose from. The ingredients used to prepare the pizza is high quality and that is evident in the end product. There is a nice dining room and wait service in the afternoon and evening. If you're in a hurry there is a self serve counter too. This is a casual establishment and very homey. There is plenty of parking and it is a short distance from the Kingston exit on the New York state thruway. The prices are affordable too. During the week there are many reasonable specials. If you're looking for a place to have a delicious cheap meal this is it. If you're traveling on the thruway get off and travel one minute to Picnic Pizza for the best pizza in Ulster County..you will not be sorry.

This pizza is awesome all the kinds I've ever tasted here rock! The brick oven pizza is my favorite the chicken bacon ranch just has this incredible smokey flavor ..

Food is good, serviceehh not so much. Its unfortunate because some of the employees are nice and can actually get things right. But it seems like the most important ones (the ones taking orders) always forget something. Just had to sit an extra 10 mins waiting for a pie they forgot. And it was not even written down, things like that are annoying when you have been working all day, and still have to pick the kids up.

Best pizza in the Hudson Valley hands down. With the exception one guy who seems to be drugged up all the time one of the nicest staffs of a restaurant in the area as well. On a side note, personally love when I hear Italian being spoken in a pizza joint, makes it seem more authentic somehow.

We order from here all the time but this place is super inconsistent. We live right around the corner and sometimes we get our pizza in 15 min, other times it's an hour and a half. Sometimes the pizza is hot and perfect, other times it's barely cooked through or it was cooked and got cold before it got to us. We loved this place when we first discovered it, now they're just lucky King's (better pizza + attitude) doesn't deliver. Whoever answers their phone is usually rude and hard of hearing, very unhelpful.

Wow. Stopped randomly for lunch on the way home from NYC. Great, "so good I want to leave a review" slices and super cheap. Food more than makes up for the pretty terrible aesthetics. Counter help pleasant and attentive. Will come back!

Sorry but I had to change from a 5 star to a 1..The first time I ordered the Pizza and hero's were great, the second time not so good, mushy hero bread and cold pizza with hardly any sauce, Okay I know there are bad days.. But today I placed an order for a pie and 2 hero's.. I told the girl who answered the phone TWICE that I had a coupon for the hero's.. The delivery guy came and I was charged full price, he tried to call the restaurant to make it right, but they kept putting him on hold! I had to pay full price, by then everything was COLD and of course the hero bread was mushy and not much to them again.. Why?? I will never order here again!!!

Consistently inconsistent. Have had the best pizza ever herebut half the time it is gross. Definitely eat there or get take outdelivery is almost always bad or wrong.

I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, but if being skipped over while standing in front of the people even after placing my order is going to become the "norm", in addition to taking my money and not offering change, screw this place. I just don't get it, wake the f#ck up people. I'll gladly spend 3 times as much for a post work meal at Crazy Bowlz just because of their service.

Pizza is great, but the girl(s) behind the counter are not. Went in to grab a couple of slices. No eye contact, no acknowledgement, not a damn thing. I might as well have been dealing with a redheaded 2 by 4. The boss had to say, "there's a customer waiting", after she had moved away from the counter. I had to say, "cold", again as she was about to slide the pizza into the oven.

She slides the box into the counter, still nothing. The tiniest amount of service goes a long way.

Definitely going less often after this experience. I shouldn't have had to wait 5 minutes when only 1 other person was being taken care of, while staff are more or less standing around and moving without purpose.
