You know: I like this place. A bit on the Jackson-pricey side but high quality lunch, coffees and pastries.
pretty good lunch spot. I recommend the Cuban sandwich.
I only stopped in to buy cookies. The shortbread was delicious, but the chocolate-walnut cookies were gluten-free and barely visible on the label. The girl who suggested I buy them was very kind and interesting. I just wish I hadn't spent $9 on gluten-free cookies.
It's The Hospitality Business, Not the Hostility Business!!!!!!
Eighteen dollars (plus tip) is a bit of a stretch for a salad and hot tea but they use good ingredients and prepare the food well..So I go but after today I won't be in any hurry to return. I got way too much attitude from the girl making the tea when I politely asked her if the tea on the counter was mine. Her condescending tone and smart aleck response were uncalled for and I was wishing I had my tip back. I've worked in restaurants for years and know how stressful it can be but sometimes you just have to suck it up and be cool to your guests even if your having a bad day.
Amazing baked goods and delicious meals. Charging outlets under benches are easily accessible. My husband eats a lot of breakfast sandwiches and the Blue Pig was the best he ever had.
Very hip and modern on the inside with plenty of comfortable seating. I had the salmon toast and breakfast burrito, both were excellent. The only reason I'm docking a star is because of the coffee. They offer 1lb bags of intelligentsia and madcap in the front, but serve you snake river in the back. The coffee tasted burnt, overdeveloped, and carbon-y. Which is too bad because they have some excellent equipment to brew a proper cup.
Modern chic coffee place in the "office district". Good coffee and pastry, light food served only until 3pm so did not have chance to try. Very nice serving dishes.
We each had a meal, the breakfast burrito abs the Cuban. They both were delicious and freshly prepared. We ordered a Brown Derby cocktail that my boyfriend didn't care for. The inside is set up cute but the front door is a bit of a tease since you have to enter through the lobby. The meals were more than enough food. The guacamole is a little too salty.
Lovely place, great coffee, service with a smile, the default meeting place for locals
Very good egg sandwich
Had a egg sandwich this morning.i wasn't impressed. Rather tasteless. The ingredients were fresh and well prepared. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I might try something different next time
Joana and the rest of the staff are absolutely wonderful. I recently moved to Jackson and I've been to every single coffee shop/cafe in town and this is by far my favorite. Family friendly, great food, great coffee, fast wifi, a knowledgable staff. Sometimes the line gets long, but the staff knock it out fast and with grace. Picnic is the only place in town that has actually remembered my name and makes my feel welcome when I show up, this is huge. I highly recommend this to all locals and anyone passing through. I have an insanely high standard for customer service and you all are killing it!
Great cafe for lunch or if you need to do work or have a small meeting. All of the food is delicious, and they have a nice selection of warm drinks.
