We go there with our boat. The perfect lake for boating, eating or skiing

My husband and I stayed here it's a beautiful place to camp! Ranger was very helpful, friendly, and nice to us. We tent camped, swam in the lake and cooked over open fire. Moved to primitive campsite for a few extra nights and got visited by skunks breaking into our tent in the middle of the night. Don't stay at P3 in primitive or you'll get skunked! Haha! But, it's there habitat not ours. Anyway, great stay overall! = )

Very convenient but also very crowded. The lake is so beautiful but people are littering on the islands and don't respect the grounds and facilities. It's sad to watch the natural beauty suffer because people can't take care of it, or worse, abuse it.

Beautiful place in the mountains on lake Keowee in Pickens; boat ramp, swimming area, picknik tables, camping for RV and wilderness camping. Great place to take the family for an afternoon or vacation spot.

They have excellent boat ramps and loading docks. You can get an annual pass for $35 and it pays for itself. During busy times they also have overflow parking. I have not stayed at the campground recently but they do have some better than others. Nice beach for swimming also that is tucked behind the boat docks.

Campground has a lot of trash strewn through it. I gathered up as much as I could since the wild ducks were picking through some that was left and a lot of the metal trash was rusted through like it'd been there for months or years. The campsites are NOT cleaned up for trash after the previous camper leaves. There are lots of beer cans strewn around alsoI thought this was against the rules. Also, several campers have gas powered golf carts, which I thought was against the rules, but I digress. The bathroom trash is not picked up daily, the playgrounds are littered with trash. And the ants you ask??? They're everywhere and I can promise that you will have them in your beds and any unsealed food and even some Ziploc sealed foods!!!! The park staff people that ride around in the green carts do not care one tiny bit. In fact, the gentleman who drives the green golf cart promised to go check for some ant spray or granules and come back. He never did. This is definitely not the first time this above mentioned gentleman promised to help out with a problem and never came back. I stayed here a couple of years ago and lost power due to a fuse blowing. The gentleman came and replaced it once and the second fuse blew right away. I had nothing at all except for one inside light turned on in my camper. The gentleman refused to do anything else and blamed me for having too much turned on in the camper. I had to run a drop cord from my camper to the site next to me since it was 17 degrees outsideI never lost power again! Go to Oconee Point Campground! Sites are better, friendly and responsive staff, and clean bathrooms and grounds!

OK first I love to camp actually my kids and I do. I want to give this place 5 stars I really do. Nice sites, friendly staff and friendly campers. However on Labor day holiday this 2016 year my experience was a 4 star only because campers near my site were partying until 4am and I didn't sleep any. Staff was notified and responded well. It was my fault for not calling them the night of incident I just kept thinking " o in another hour they will all pass out, maybe in another hour" and so on . We actually were greeted by an undercover officer early in the day that was camping at grounds so I take partial blame for not calling. Other than that campground is great!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit at this campground. The sites are not as private and big as Corps of Engineer parks however being on beautiful Lake Keowee makes up for this attribute. We found the restrooms to be well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The first come/first serve reservation system for sites that are not previously reserved is great because we can wait to see what the weather will be like and go on a last minute camping trip since we don't live too far away. It's the only campground around that also has a great checkout time of 4pm which is awesome. One thing: bring cash or check because they don't take credit cards. We are looking forward to our next visit.
