This is a very smooth airport to get in and out. But I would avoid renting a car right at the airport. Look for one a couple miles away and take an Uber. My rental car was $190, but an extra $90 for airport fees and taxes. That's almost 50% in taxes!!
This is a wonderful small airport. I was traveling alone with my 2 year old. Everyone at the airport was very helpful. The enterprise agent offered to drop me off at the door so I could better manage. The ticketing staff and security staff also entertained her while I was checking in and going through security. Thank you so much and we will definitely fly here again.
Smaller airport but offers good service..
Good connection to Provo UT, "Caution" January & February could see weather cancellations to Provo..
Airport is okay if you can get a good deal, if flight is prices are close I would rather just fly into PHX better location and car rental deals than out here.
Interesting attempt to "compete" w/ connecting flight airlines by offering direct flights (on limited schedule). My problem is with the staff turning away of customers for check in due to walking in 59:59 min:ss before flight (recently extended to 44:59, better!)
Decent small airport. Usually a bit understaffed at certain areas. Creates a longer wait. Definitely recommend arriving very early for your flights. The TSA staff is friendly and actually gets the security line moving pretty quickly. But the wait you'll have at check in or at other places creates a bit of a headache. However, it's nice to save a buck or two flying into Mesa instead of PHX.
Small but nice and convenient airport to travel to smaller cities across the Western US. I have taken the flight from Idaho Falls, Idaho to this airport and vice versa a few times through Allegiant Air.
Want 5 stars? Do something about how long it takes for baggage claim to come off your aircraft. Slowest baggage of any airline at any airport we have ever experienced.
Convenient parking for dropping off and picking up. Took away a star for not having jet bridges. You have to walk to the aircraft on the tarmac and board via a ramp.
our experience started with the elderly lady at Allegiant air telling us my daughters flight at 8 am was already closed when we got there at 7:10 and we needed to be there 2 hours early. Really ? That means that the people on the plane were going to sit for 45 more minutes before taking off ? Fortunately 2 nice young ladies overheard and took over and told her she had to run to make it. my daughter was wearing a knee brace from a recent injury.
