This is my third puppy with Petland and can’t be more happier. Training was easy and my puppies have always been socialized with people and other dogs. Support is excellent and the choice is very good . That’s why I keep coming back ! Customer for life.

Buyers Beware! I cannot believe how they treat their puppies and potential customers. Give me a brake! A Maltese/ Yorkie mix for $2500?? They let just anybody pet the dogs and puppies and leave them in cages with grates to sleep on. I believe in crate training but not without a bed.

I got my baby sun conure here in July of 2017. Despite all of the negative reviews, I on the other hand had a good experience. The workers were very friendly and quick to help me, all of the animals seemed well taken care of. Most of the birds were hand tamed which a lot of times they are not when getting them from pet stores. I love my baby and so happy with my purchase. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I never received my DNA results of the sex of my bird.

I was going to buy a hybrid pup here since I bred my labradoddles 5 years ago and lost a dog recently. As a previous breeder this was disgusting I would never keep my pets in this condition also I looked up the history of the breeders this petland gets their pups from on both the humane society of the US and USDA. Do you research first giving money to these places encourages the continuation of them being opened. The findings of humane society did it for me. My friend got a pup from here about a year ago that had pneumonia. It's just so hard to find hybrid pups in this area but I don't want one if it's from a petland.

Keeping animals locked up in a building without air conditioning is beyond cruel. Especially in the heat of a florida summer. The owner and employees should be ashamed of themselves for cruelty to animals Get those animals into the care of people that will actually care for them. This store has kept these animals locked up in this building by themselve with no air conditioning.

Besides disgracing their animals and putting them through hell, I'm surprised that there hasn't been a good enough reason to shut this place down.
Failing atmosphere and horrible environment for animals to be contained in.

So the dogs look depressed and they're all sad and tired looking. They really shouldnt be that tired. Also the fact I saw a ferrett and walked over to it. The lady by the ferretts and birds (a worker) saw us looking at the ferrett and started talking and she literally hit the ferretts face, not once, not twice but several times. She then proceeded to pick up the ferrett and then put it upside down and do all sorts of things as if it were a slinky. Thats not ok. Get better workers instead of trash workers like her.

Stay away!!! All the other negative reviews about this place is true, dogs here are OVERPRICED beyond reasonable measure! You can easily tell they don't take good care of their dogs once you walk in, I read reviews before coming here and it's all true. I have to say I can't believe this place is still in business, how they operate is beyond me and the prices they set is to easily rob customers. Be smart and buy from a breeder do not come to this place you will get ripped off and end up with a sick animal. It's unfortunate but it's true.

Absolutely do not buy a puppy from here! My mom bought a French bulldog for $3000 about a week and a half ago and it started showing signs of being sick. She didn't want to go to the vet that Petland goes through because she's had terrible experiences with them in the past (they almost killed her other dog by giving it the wrong shot) so she took her puppy to a different local vet. Now a few thousand dollars later in vet bills and he's currently in the ER with pneumonia, Petland won't do anything about it because she didn't go to there vet and they also "don't reimburse ER visits". Are you kidding me? I've never seen such terrible business ethic. When a pet store gets puppies from puppy mills, you'd think they'd back up making sure they're healthy and not going to die on someone!

First, I would like to say that the dog I purchased at Petland in Fort Myers is the best pet I have ever had. I purchased my Wheaten Terrier, Bear, from Petland in December of 2015. I visited him several times before deciding to actually purchase him. The staff was very knowledgeable about the animals and products they offer at their store. They were always patient with me even knowing that each visit may not be the day I actually purchased the puppy. I never felt pushed or pressured into purchasing him. Honestly, it was a breath of fresh air for a sales environment. When I did decide to buy my beloved puppy I called to schedule an appointment for the following morning. When I arrived, the puppy was freshly bathed and he had been given a Holiday themed collar. This was an adorable touch. The process from start to finish was easy and painless. I credit that to the management and well trained staff.
I have visited the store several times since my purchase in 2015 and I can honestly say I continue to be impressed by the outstanding customer service at the Petland Fort Myers store. During every visit, I am always greeted by the warm and friendly staff. They still answer all of my questions about Bear and new pets I am interested in. In my experience over the last 14 months, I have felt that the Petland Fort Myers store have nailed customer service. I truly believe the entire staff has gone above and beyond to ensure customers are satisfied with their Petland experience. My experience with the sales staff, sales manager (James), and even the store owner has been nothing short of wonderful. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking to add a new pet to their family or for anyone in need of pet supplies.

Just walked out of there a moment ago. Not a soul greeted, helped or even gave an indication to make themselves available to assist me. Two of the attendants looked right at me and said nothing, and went on to look busy or help people who came around the same time I did. I just left. I bought stuff here before and it was the same thing, so I thought it was an isolated incident. All I wanted was pet shampoo. Why be so cold? Going across the street to Pet Supermarket.
