Best pet store in Jackson, great prices and service. Huge selection of fish and animals come from mostly local breeders.

Glofish had them for 9 days. In 9 days, the 4 glofish died as well as most of the rest of my community tank. 11 fish have so far died. I called them, they laughed at me. Told me it was the maintenance of my tank. The tank was established with the most recent additions being the glofish. Before the glofish, my tank had been thriving for a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks since I added ANYTHING to it. They deny it was their fish. I typically spend 100+/- dollars there every month or so. I will never spend another dollar there. Being laughed at, and them assuming that i am under educated on aquarium/paludarium care was upsetting to me, but to laugh at me was unprofessional. Good luck with your ventures through the pet station As part of my business i am always on the market for pond fish, but will be seeking other routes for thise as well.

PROS: Utterly unlike the chain stores; it is not glaringly bright, cavernous, and sterile - the environment in the building is better suited for critters (and people like me who dislike the typical retail atmosphere). Large, diverse selection of fish. Knowledgeable staff.
CONS: Parking lot is small and oddly shaped, can be a tight, awkward squeeze especially if you drive a larger vehicle. While you can get things here that none of the other pet stores in town sell, be aware that this is not a one-stop shop for ALL your pet needs, selection is more limited and specialized.response / report this review -

Great place for tropical fish. They have the best selection of fish in town (although options are limited in Jackson area). Helpful service. Prices I think are mostly in line with other "local" fish stores in Mid-Michigan. You'll probably pay a bit more than you would at Petsmart or Meijer, but you'll get better fish (with a much better selection) at Pet Station.

I used to like this store. Up until recently. I purchased 2 baby rats from here. They were sick and I didn't know. Once at home I noticed they were sneezing. I breed rats so I have a lot. I housed them in my room. In their own cage. I also have many rats in there. Well thats where the sickness started! It started in my room. Killing 5 rats. Well then this rat disease made it into my living room. Killing more rats. It then moved to my back room. It was devastating. I've lost 13 of my rats due to this place. They lie like crazy and can't keep they're stories straight. They continue to sell these sick rats and act like they have had no complaints! Yet I know many people having this problem. SO BUYERS BEWARE

I used to love this pet store as I have never had a bad experience with the staff or the animals i have gotten from there; until now. I bought three baby rats from there after my older one (also bought from there about 6 months ago) died from a tumor. I hadn't even had them for more than 2 and a half weeks before 2/3 were dead from respiratory issues that must be due to how they are kept at the store. For the short time I had them, they were well fed and watered and their wire cage has been cleaned multiple times. I'm hoping the third little boy will be okay as he hasn't shown any signs of being sick like the others; yet.
