Very helpful and kind Doctor and staff. They helped me care for my 15 year Black Lab during the last few months of his life. I would recommend anyone to take their pets here!

I brought 2 dogs in for grooming, they where subjected to a chemical flea treatment without my prior consent and then I was charged for said treatments without prior consent/authorization, when a complaint was made with the BBB they admitted to not asking permission but hid behind vague "signage". They will do what they believe to be best without the consideration of the pet , or the owner! The cherry on top, you will get to pay for it, BUYER BEWARE!!!

Last year my wife and I dropped off our two Labrador. We were going on a Florida vacation. I called every other day to check on our fur babies. I was told all was great. Once I returned home I got a huge shock when I went to go pick my dogs up. Knowing they would be very excited to see me. When my dogs were brought out nether one could hardly walk. When I asked what was wrong the lady running the front desk told me that had to sedate my dogs since the day I dropped them off. Not once when I called was I told this. Then on top of it all they wanted me to pay 134.00 for the shots they were given. I would never recommend them to watch anyone's pets. I give them a big fat 0 on a rating.

It was no surprise when this veterinary office was voted the favorite in Big Rapids. Dr. Davids and his staff treat our animals as if they were their own. Always gentle and kind, everyone there is passionate about what they do. I wouldn't take our puppy anywhere else, and I am grateful that such excellent care is available. They are outstanding in every way.

I wouldn't recommend The Pet Hospital to anyone. I brought one of my outside cats in to get his shots and the vet told me he had a fever and thought he had an infection and wasn't able to receive his shots. He barely spoke to me or made any kind of eye contact. He was very short and rude. He told me he'd return but sent his assistant in to give me some antibiotics. I took him home and for the next few weeks he lost weight, I returned with him because of the weight loss and he seemed to always be running a fever. With barely looking him over he told me it was just an infection once again and sent me home with more antibiotics. I asked if he was going to run tests and he told me it was unnecessary. I took him home and two days later he was dead. If you love your animals I would stay clear of this place!

I have always had a wonderful experience at The Pet Hospital. I got my dog from the shelter just after his stitches were removed from being neutered there. I took him in for the normal check-up and discovered he had heartworms. They made a plan right away and treated him and explained what was happening to him, as well as how to care for him at home. Dr. Davids answered any questions I had along the way. Everyone there was very pleasant to deal with every time I had to go back in for follow up and further usual check-ups. I also have boarded him a few times for a fair price. Once, around the holidays, they had to refer me to another place in town for a problem the little guy was having, but we scheduled a follow up for soon after. Just recently, I got a kitten from the shelter, as well. They were able to make it so that I can take both in at the same time to save time and money! I was thinking of choosing this place, and stuck with it because it's the same vet the shelter uses. After going here for over year, I would definitely recommend The Pet Hospital.
