Always polite informational. Has alot of equipment and ideas
Never Again! My niece-in-law called and canceled her chairs two months prior to her event. For some reason, the owners had no notes or information regarding the cancellation. They contacted my nephew requesting payment, and he said it was canceled. They stated they had sent several emails to my email, yet I had none! I asked for a copy, and it couldn't be produced. They made my nephew pay for all of the chairs and stated they couldn't help him. They were not helpful when I called. I would HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else!
Rented a truck and returned it here.
I rented chairs from Personal Touch for my wedding on June 4th. Karyl worked with our venue to have the chairs delivered and picked up, which took so much stress away from me. It was so easy - the chairs were up when I got to the venue the day of and I didn't have to worry about them when we left that night. I would highly recommend using Personal Touch for any event needs!
I can only give this company 2 stars because I felt like a bad customer when I had done nothing wrong.
This business is also a Budget moving truck location.
I moved to Columbus,Ohio from Colorado Springs, CO and obtained the truck from a place called SecurCare Self Storage. Do not rent a truck from this location.
After doing some price quotes on rental moving trucks, I found that Budget was the best deal, having a down payment of about $600 with unlimited miles. Compared to U-Haul, it was significantly cheaper. I booked the rental and went to retrieve the truck. The woman at the counter, nominated to be the employee of the quarter, was helpful, but threw me off when she told me to not contact her if there were any problems with the truck. We did the walk-through inspection of the truck together to record any pre-existing damage.
Having the customer perform this task with the renter would seem like a fair practice, but to assume that the customer should know what kinds of damage to look for is not fair. After feeling confident that we had found every dent, scratch and cosmetic issue, I signed a gigantic packet full of consents.
The trip was great, we didn't experience any issues with the truck, we didn't attempt to take the truck through any drive-through fast food restaurants and we took extra care to make sure that nothing happened to damage the vehicle.
After our trip we went to return it to the designated location, Personal Touch Party Rentals & Events, in Lancaster, Ohio. After the businesswoman at the counter inspected the truck herself, she noted that the "corner cap" on the top of the truck was broken and that there was a hole in it. This was a part of the truck that I had overlooked in the original inspection with the lady in Colorado. The woman in Lancaster stated that since it had not been recorded, that I would be charged a total of $300 for the damages.
I must admit that compared to the Budget Associate in Colorado Springs, the lady in Lancaster was a lot more concerned about customer service. She contacted the woman in Colorado Springs and was told that the damage was caused by me. The woman in Lancaster didn't attempt to refer me to someone who could help me dispute this massive amount of money charged to my card without hesitation. Nowhere did I receive any information about who to call to dispute this claim.
From my understanding, some idiot who had rented the truck before I did decided to take the truck through a drive through, damaged the truck, returned it without anyone noting the damage and got away scott-free without being charged an extra cent.
Not only will I never rent from Budget again, I will make sure that I tell anyone I know who is thinking about using this company to move that this company, and these specific locations have terrible customer service and should be sued.
This company believes that the customer is always wrong, and they expect the average Jill to have extensive knowledge in common damages that these trucks usually get. I guess that kind of customer service warrants you a nomination to be employee of the quarter.
I would advise that if you are going to rent a truck through ANY business from ANY location, INSPECT every square inch of the truck THOROUGHLY. Tell them if you think that they are skimping on the inspection, tell them about this scenario and ask them how you can protect yourself.
My husband and I set our wedding date six weeks after our engagement! Talk about a whirlwind! I called around to a few other local party companies and could not believe their lack of customer service. They were down right RUDE! I had a vision in my head but wasn't exactly sure how to make it come to life.
I was referred to Personal Touch and was instantly pleased with their genuine willingness to help me figure out what I needed. I was able to get linens, tents, chairs, a dance floor and lights - all at one place! I think I called every day the week before the wedding checking, adjusting and double checking again. Not once was the staff rude or annoyed by my questions.
The tent arrived two days before the wedding, giving us plenty of time to set up and decorate. Everything they sent was in great condition. Our guests couldn't believe how amazing our "simple" tent wedding and reception was.
I will not only use Personal Touch for any future event that I host, but would refer them to any and everyone! Customer service is a huge deal to me and they went above and beyond.
Thank you, Personal Touch, for helping make my wedding everything I envisioned!
