Best local diner in the county. I've eaten here since I was a kid. Their pie is the best. Consider the Presidential Platter, named after George W. Bush stopped to eat while campaigning.

We love retro and enjoyed the old diner feel. I had a foot long coney dog. The chili was a bit too sweet for me and the onion rings were too greasy. My husband had a tenderloin sandwich which he enjoyed, but couldn't eat all. We would go back and try something else. Not health food.

I am 77 yrs old and have been eating at The Spot my entire life. Its always been better than "fast food". You can't beat the prices for the quality of food.

Great sandwiches. Love this place come at least 2 twice a year. Can't eat here every day. Won't be able to fit my damn jeans anymore. Hahaha. But make sure you get a slice of the old fashioned cream pie. It's the best pie in the state hands down

Second time visit, way more disappointing than the first. Charged us for a Super Big Buy when it was very clear that there was no size difference between that burger and the regular Big Buy that my mother ordered. My fries were lukewarm at best, but the flavor was alright. The chicken tenderloin was somehow overcooked and undercooked at the same time, bits of pink mushy bits mixed in with the burnt areas. Most of the soda from the fountain was watered down and flat as paper. It seems the restaurant is riding off the nostalgia from it's glory years at this point.

I'd give the location/diner 4 stars and the food 3 stars. My burger was good but not great and the fries were good. I didn't have the pie so I'll have to try that next time. The diner is so cute and the people are friendly. This is a local institution so at the least, it is fun to visit. Kids loved it!

Friendly service and good food. I was a little disappointed on my first visit because from the outside, their restuarant smells EXACTLY like Kewpie. However, their food taste nothing like it.

I've been a patron of The Spot since I was a small boy. The restaurant has changed its decor, but not its atmosphere. It's still the same friendly place I remember. I have breakfast there on Sunday mornings and meet up with a regular group of other diners in the restaurant. Conversation can vary on a wide range of topics, and with any one of the other diners in the restaurant. It has that small-town feel to it, and I highly recommend it to anyone from out of town looking for a touch of a small-town friendliness.

Must get the tenderloin sandwich. It's so big it's hard to find the bunch. Prices are a bit on the pricey side. Nostalgic decor is nice.
