I had an absolutely horrible experience with this bank. Since People's United took over Chittenden, it's just been mistake after mistake. I gave them the benefit of doubt in the beginning as I'm sure it's difficult to switch over to a whole new system and everything, but a year later and it's not gotten any better.

Wholly unreliable service and employees who aren't even sure of their own rules is the norm here. Deposits going to other people's accounts (hold on to your receipts!) and I'm not the only one to encounter this issue. The staff is sweet (a holdover from when it was Chittenden), but this doesn't make up for the gross negligence I encountered as a patron here.

Since the buyout they've seen a mass exodus of customers (rightly so), causing them to go as far as to bribe new customers with a free Kindle in an effort to stop the bleeding. Do yourself a favor and choose an institution that actually makes an attempt to put their customers first.
