Wish I could leave minus stars. About 5 months ago, I changed from Walgreen's to Paulsen's Pharmacy because I wanted to deal with a small, locally owned pharmacy. On Friday, I was treated incredibly rudely by the so-called manager. She screamed at me for suggesting that their vials aren't biodegradable. They are technically biodegradable but only at processing centers that use a very high heat, none of which are available in the Portland area. This information is very misleading. People think that they can toss these items in their compost and it will magically biodegrade. The manager said she was having a bad day- and I thought about my 7 friends who are nurses and doctors, all working in hospital settings and 4 of whom work in ER's. These people are in more danger/at risk in 10 minutes on the job than this manager is in a month, safely at the back of the store, behind a thick glass wall. Yet the medical professionals don't seem to be having melt-downs. This is INEXCUSABLE behaviour. The first thing I will do on Monday will be to change pharmacy. I will happily drive another 30 blocks out of my way to avoid spending one cent at this business. SHAME on you. P.S. Saw your response- you are full of it! Would crawl on broken glass before I would spend one cent at your store. And judging from other reviews, I'm not the only person to feel this way.

My spouse likes this Pharmacy , and I have tried to , but frankly I have never gotten a warm and fuzzy feeling from them. They are just not that friendly. The staff working the counter are often curt and sharp, and seem to lack basic customer service skills of politeness and rapport. Going back to Walgreens. At least they try and they have much better hours.

Working with Paulsen's in regards to my Aunt's medications has been terrific customer service. They have been helpful, responsive and very nice. They make and deliver her bubble packs of medications monthly.

Paulsen's Pharmacy is the best pharmacy EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been to the store and the people take care of you so well and are so understanding if you have any questions! If you live in Portland OR. this is the place to go. Even consider moving pharmacy's like from safeway to paulsen's caus ethe are the best, and most trustworthy, In My Opinion!!!!

I am absolutely amazed that Paulsen's is still there after all these years!
Used to go for REAL Cokes, an occasional milkshake and of course, to
pick up prescriptions (with a note) for my parents.
That was in the 40's-50's which gives you and idea of my age.
Thank's for being there Paulsen's.very fond memories.
