We used it just for overnight tenting. The tenting ground is along the only road.

Patterson SP is a small park right on the Main road, RT-44. We went there for the dark sky, the milky way and perseid meteor shower were brilliant. The Susquehannock State trail runs through the park and it's the major attraction. Campsites and facilities were clean. Through hikers were friendly. Water is available only from an old hand pump. Firewood is plentiful in this little used park. Fun for 2 days but close to the road. We set up the tent 50 ft into the woods, soft leaf bed.
