It's public transportation. It has it's flaws but over all the trains, subways, buses, and car hops (taxis, uber, lyfts) all work together at the Hub of L.A. union station.

For any Pick ups, be sure to use one of the Lower Level entrances on Vignes st. One is near the NorthWest corner of cesar chavez and Vignes and the other is near the onramp to the 101. If you go to the upper level, you will be cited! Flyaway +metro

Great hub for LA. Lots of access, options for travel and believe or not, I always feel safe there. I travel from that hub at least 4 times a month.

Architectural masterpiece. Incredibly well maintained. If Los Angeles were to be judged by Patsaouras Transit Center the grade would be A++.

Organized bus stops, there is a sign located by 'Stop 3' that has a map of where all the buses stop and where they go. Most workers only know as much as the bus they're in charge of so you may end up asking several people if you have specific questions.
