Passage is my treat for a hard week. Great view, amazing service, and the food is outstanding. Check out their "all you can eat" lunch buffet. ( Edit: I noticed their bad reviews come from cheap skates angry about a $10 minimum tip for more than two patrons. I never knew this existed because I TIP LIKE A MAN! Standard gratuity is 15%-25% so maybe stick to fast food. It really pisses me off when small businesses get trashed because our world is full of morons.)
Good service and ambiance. Indians to non Indians ratio is more like 1:1. Food taste is good and the spice level is generally mild/medium for lunch buffet. I'm not sure about this place, but in similar restaurants I've had good luck upping the spice level for dinner menu items.
Always have a great experience every time I visit. Very friendly staff and the food was amazing you will not be disappointed. I took the lunch buffet to go and they came out and gave me fresh wrapped naan to go! There drinks are very strong and very good.
The decor was fabulous. The atmosphere, peaceful. The food, delicious. The service was slow. The portions on the small side. Table for two very tiny. I would go again and hope for quicker service. I have a feeling they were just short staffed. All in all, a good Indian experience.
Five star experience! Delicious, inexpensive lunch buffet. Wonderful well cooked food that makes for a great time with friends and family. Came here all through college and just returned after 5 years away, did not disappoint. Wonderful, vibrant decor, gracious servers and fun times all around.
My favorite Indian place in the area. Delicious for dine-in or take out. Great and reasonably priced lunch buffet, wonderful ambiance. If you ever have an issue with your food, they will fix it. I really like the fact that you can order the food to your spice preference. Many options for vegetarians and people with gluten sensitivities.
Pathetic place. If you are Indian, be prepared to be treated like dirt. A very bad experience. We went as family, 3 adults and 4 kids. The food was delayed 40 min. The owner, a lady, when informed that we are waiting a long time, told us bluntly "I know". Finally when the food arrived, we were told that guests are never served. We took photos of guests at other tables being served. I write this as I sit in the restaurant.
Will never visit here again.
Went to have dinner because we were staying overnight at the hotel next door and had a really good meal. The food was good and our waiter was able to answer questions about the spiciness and ingredients of the food. Most of the party I was with doesn't eat spicy food, so the waiter was helpful with that. Good quantity of food for the price and the wait staff was attentive. Will go again if I'm back in the area.
The ambience of this place gives you a very warm welcome feeling and hence we were pleased to enter this restaurant. However services is something that disappointed us and we found the food just all right and not something great. We had made a reservation for this restaurant and had reached exactly at the said time, yet we had to wait for 15min for our table to be ready. Now that's not something you expect when you make a reservation! Further, the servers weren't very attentive at our table. As far as food is concerned, I must say, they had put up a good variety at the buffet but we opted for à la carte instead. It tasted good but nothing exceptional.
Stopped here while my visit to hershey chocolate factory.Good ambience, good food .. service was slow .Overall a good experience, definite recommend to others!
I don't get the lower reviews. This is an excellent Indian restaurant. Lovely to look at too and a great location on the river. I live in Philly and visit mid-state often. Always make a stop here. Have never done the buffet but really want to, but dinner service and food is top notch.
If there were more stars I'd give it. Absolutely beautiful on the inside with timely and superbly delicious food. I highly recommend the Nan it's buttery and crispy while being super flavorful!
Wasn't going to try it based on some of the reviews, but it could've just been disgruntled employees. Decided to go for dinner, everything was great very filling and some leftovers. Yes the staff may seem like they're all over the place, in actuality its almost synchronized waiting. We noticed they are very attentive to there customers. There's this lentil soup, starts with and M (not going to try to spell it) get it as a starter, it was great on this frigid night. Must also note the great tasting Mango juice. Thanks for a great meal and fantastic service.
Absolutely the best Indian cuisine in Central PA. The food and service are excellent. Conveniently located along the scenic Susquehanna river. Easy to get to and plenty of parking.
