I hate dealerships. I hate buying cars. I feel like I have to beg to get a price, I'm surprised by strange costs, and I'm surrounded by dishonesty. Not at this dealership!
This was my first positive car buying experience. We've been looking at several Jeeps in the area and these guys blew everyone out of the water. I asked for an out the door price, Danny IMMEDIATELY gave it to me. Every question I had, Dawn Taylor, Danny, and Les answered them all without making us feel like we were bothering them. Great, honest customer service from everyone, it felt genuine. Thank you! We love our Jeep!
Great purchasing experience! After talking with 2 different Jeep dealerships, Gettel had us sold on the better customer service. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed working with Les, and the sales manager helped us secure a great price. I recommend this dealership!
Dawn was very helpful. She sent me several options after the van I was initially interested in was no longer available. She kept me up to date, answered all my questions, and very kind throughout my whole experience.
Russ was great once I had another van picked out. He wasn't pushy and was pretty honest about everything which I really enjoyed.
John (I think) with financing was also wonderful. He was able to get a lower rate than the loan I was already approved for and add a warranty! He was also very patient with my kiddos being their normal crazy selves while doing all the paperwork.
My only complaint would be the detailing department. I'd like a used car to look as good as possible and even after being "detailed" twice there was a sticker, smooshed bugs, dirty cup holders, and stains on the ceiling. A little disappointing that I'll have to take it somewhere else to get a professional grade job done.
Overall, my experience at Gettel was great and I can see myself buying from them again.
When I came to see what turned out to be the perfect vehicle for me and my family I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Brown. Joe Brown is a Great young man from Upstate NY with a sincere level of professionalism seldom found in a man his age. I highly recommend visiting Joe Brown as he will work hard for you and is supported by a great team at Gettel.
Totally disgusted with service department. Son brought his 2016 Ram truck to have AC checked was well within his warranty period, yet mechanic attempted to take advantage of him. Where this was clearly a warranty repair the mechanic keep saying it was going to cost my son at least $400 and up to $1500. He told my son it was probably in wreck which damaged AC. Have car-fax and all documents truck never has been in accident. As a dealer they should have capability to check VIN number also. Only work done was their service center installing backup camera. My son called me and I told him just get truck back and leave. To top it off mechanic left his glove-box on floor failed to reinstall after he removed it. I called and asked for service manager but was only called back by service adviser. He stated must have been a misunderstanding and now wanted to have us bring back truck. Obviously they were trying to take advantage of my son due to his age. I will never use any Gettel related dealer or service center and make sure I let all family, friends and coworkers aware of how they operate.
Unfortunately the deal didn't work out on my behave but salesman, Les was great! He made me and my husband feel very comfortable and tried to make it work the best he could. Highly suggest having him as your future salesman.
Great experience! Fixed multiple issues on my used car even after purchase. Julie (the Aussie) is Great! She went the extra mile to market site we were happy and under budget. Jordan in service is honest helpful and thorough. Feel totally comfortable about my deal. You won't be disappointed!
At the beginning my experience was not so good. I was calling, leaving messages ..nobody was calling back. Then, I met Dennis Tagge, everything changed for the best. Dennis is very helpful, friendly and professional. Thanks Dennis ! Thanks to Mike too, he is an awesome mechanic. Kudos to him. I would like to thank Nicole and Shelby too.
I dropped my 2015 Town and Country off on Friday morning with an appointment because it had a rattle sound coming from under the hood. I called to check on the vehicle Friday afternoon because no one had communicated with me whats going on. Jordan said they would need to keep it over the weekend to repair the flex plate. I called Monday afternoon to find out status and Leaving a message and waiting for a call back again, I was told that the part came in that morning and it should be ready by Tuesday at the end of the day. Well I waited until 4:30 Tuesday because once again I was never called with any updates, I was told that it would be ready Wednesday morning. So This Morning I called to speak with the service manager and once again I get a voicemail box. So i decided to just go up there and find out whats wrong. When I walked in no one knew when it would be done. The guy that was working on the van was in the service office and was asked if he was working on it, which his reply was does it look like I am working on it right now. So I was told to go in the Service Manager's Dennis office and waited. he walks almost passed his office like he didn't I was in there. I was very irate at this point, but was not using foul language, raising my voice yes cussing no. He tells me that i can not come in there cussing at his staff and I told him I did not curse once "YET". I told him the situation and he looked at me like Umm okay whats your point. Which really boiled me over the edge. After his arguing with me which you just don't do with a customer, I asked to speak to his boss. Which he told me he doesn't have a boss. I then spoke even louder and told him I want to speak to his boss, because I know that a Little service manager is not as High On The Tod-em Pole I could go. Which he finally tells me I can speak to the General Manager. Which I spoke to as calmly as possible given what I was put through already. The GM and I spoke and he also felt his team dropped the ball. He realized that the communication of his team was slack. He is now handling the situation.
So far so good well see whats happens in the near future
Jeep's have been in family for last 15 years and this dealership let me drive away with a dead battery because they couldn't fit me in their schedule or offer suggestions to help in any way. I have never used this dealership for any kind of vehicle servicing but it's much closer to my home than the other dealerships (purchased 2015 Jeep Patriot from Sarasota/ Sunset Jeep dealer). This is my wife's vehicle and she came out from work the day before and the vehicle was "dead". I went to where she was and got the car started with jumper cables the next day the battery was dead again/ jumped again, and made my way to the Punta Gorda dealership. The service manager was very kind but they "weren't able to fit me into their schedule". Having said all of that, the battery was/ is under warranty Why not just give me a new battery?? At worst case scenario, they could've given me a new battery, diagnose the other and let me know what the outcome was afterwarda. I asked if they could get me a rental car and I could leave car with them. She (service manager) said that without knowing diagnosis, they couldn't (wouldn't) do that She also said that to diagnose battery, it could take a few hours. I left very disappointed with this dealership because I explained that the vehicle could be stranded at any given time in that condition and that I was really in a bind. At worst case scenario, they could've given me a new battery, diagnose the other and let me know what the outcome was afterward. The manager told me that Chrysler "may" reimburse, if I were to purchase a new battery on my own, but I'd have to got through them (Chrysler) in order to get any money back. I left there and went to a local auto parts store and paid $140 for a new battery and the vehicle has been fine ever since (Wednesday/5 days ago). Now I have the inconvenience of trying to get reimbursed by Chrysler. I wish that I had read the reviews before going to this dealership If there were any desire for a member of management to contact me to offer assistance with my inconvenience, my information can be pulled from Sunset Jeep in Sarasota or the Jeep data base.
Great Repair Service Experience. Finally went in to get my ABS warning light checked out on my older minivan. Staff was pleasant, quick to diagnose and get back to me, clear on my options, and had my van back all better the very next day. Will definitely be back!
Had an 08:30 appointment for a warranty repair. Asked to pay $110.50 which "75% of the time is refundable" according to the adviser. After waiting 1 hour I am told they don't have it in the bay yet, and don't know if it's warranty. I'm told it won't be done until end of day.
I walk back to the same adviser who told me this, and told him I will just leave. He says it will take a short while to get the vehicle and clear the records.
Ten minutes later he comes to give me "great news, you vehicle is done, the repair was warranty, and it is being road tested".
I doubt anything was actually done, and since it was a fluid drip, I won't know for days.
The service I get at Palm has been terrific. I got a good deal on my car there, and have been going there out of habit, I guess. But, knock on wood, since my car has been trouble-free for five years, I have only needed tires and oil changes. What's not to like? You can make an appointment online.
