  Only con: screen is a bit small (though, once you get into the movie, you forget about it), only one theater (no real choice in movies)
  
  Pros: inexpensive tickets ($8 for adults!) and concessions, friendly staff, comfortable seating, and historic building (if that sort of thing catches your fancy)
  
  Overall, I'd say it's definitely worth the drive from Carthage, rather than going to Joplin (where it's about $14 or $15 per adult).

  This theater deserves more than five stars. The prices are very reasonable and cheaper than over movie theaters. They also offer student discounts.

  The fun & friendly atmosphere, makes it easy to settle in to a comfortable seat, and enjoy one of the many new releases, the Plaza provides. A trip to the well stocked, and reasonably priced concessions, will have you prepared for a well deserved, relaxing movie experience.
