The twilight fee is outstanding. The course is great. Unfortunately, during both rounds, there were obnoxious millenial hackers who controlled the pace of play, and forced several faster foursomes to wait.
NEVER HAVE A WEDDING HERE EVER (unless you want disrespectful staff, empty promises, slimy business-like managers, and a disorganized mess of people scrambling to figure things out last minute)
The only thing good about this venue is that it's beautiful.
Here's my quick and dirty list of things that went wrong on our wedding day:
1) Kelsey. If she's still working there, she has to be the most disrespectful of the staff. Not only did she WEAR YOGA PANTS TO OUR RECEPTION, she was given specific instructions for our center pieces and our couple's table that were nothing like we had asked her to do. Luckily we were friends with our photographers, because they let us know that while we weren't around, Kelsey went around to our third party vendors and talked poorly about us and how she didn't want to do our wedding. She was also given instructions to refrigerate our leftovers from dinner since we had a buffet, and we were planning to have some leftovers the next day since we didn't eat a lot with the craziness of the wedding. Completely neglected them, and thousands of dollars of steak and chicken were left out and had to be thrown away. And she WORE YOGA PANTS TO OUR WEDDING RECEPTION.
2) Terrible management. They don't care and try to back out of promises. We got lucky and booked our wedding right before the club changed owners, so we got a really good price on our contract. Whoever it was that worked on our contract told us we could have an indoor reception with 175 people, failing to inform us that their capacity is 82. So months later, not a few months before the wedding, they give us a call and tell us we have to pay $1800 for a tent to hold all of these people since their capacity is so low. So we told them no, and they offered a meeting to discuss and STILL had the audacity to tell us they'd be "willing to split the cost of the tent." $900 to fix something they screwed up (if renting a tent even actually costs that much). We told them no, and they finally caved, but that should never have even come up in discussion.
3) False advertising. We were so excited to have pictures on the waterfall with our bridal party, and on the bridge. Didn't find out until we had been standing on the waterfall for 20 minutes waiting for them to turn it on that they were working on the piping that day and it was not functional. THEN, they were supposed to have someone come guide us around the golf course for pictures to save time and get the best shots. Instead, they dropped off two golf carts for us and our photographers after we had to track someone down to help us, no guide to help us, and no map, running 30 minutes behind schedule. We ended up getting lost and taking an hour to get back so all of our guests were waiting to eat. And we came back to all of our center pieces completely wrong and a bland table for us. After spending hundreds of dollars on decorations that we found still in boxes unused later on.
4) Free champagne toast/cake cutting? Again, insanely false advertising and disorganization. We were probably a couple hours behind schedule at this point. Our DJ had announced a good while ago that we were doing our cake cutting soon. No plates. No utensils. Nobody to help us, just a crowd of family and friends, random handfuls of them with champagne and no defined toast. The bartender ended up having to leave his spot to carry out stacks of plates for everyone because no one else was around. He was about the only good that came out of this venue, and one of the only ones NOT in yoga pants. Oh, and speaking of the bar, we were to have wine and beer all night, and they ran out of cab BEFORE DINNER. After my dad spoke to a manager, they happened to find another crate of wine, but why should the father of the groom have to ever chase down someone for a glass of wine before dinner even starts??
I could go on and on and on, but I'd like to remember the good parts about the happiest day of my life. Happy to get a lot of this off of my chest, and I hope this is a helpful review for most of you looking at wedding venues.
I played the course for the first time and it's in great condition. The tee boxes were a 4/5. The fairways were a 4/5. The greens were a 4/5 and could have been 5/5 if people took care of their ball marks.
The course was very challenging. I played from black tees and even a perfect shot in the fairway left a difficult shot because of the hills and curves on the course.
The greens were very challenging as well with each putt having a turn. If you like a challenging course def come play this course from the gold or blck tees.
For the money, this course is a steal!!!
We hosted my sister's bridal shower in the clubhouse restaurant and it was the best decision we ever made. From start to finish, the event coordinator Kelsey was efficient and friendly. She helped us work within our budget to achieve our vision. Chef Mike was extremely personable and his food is to die for. From homemade pasta salad to from scratch BBQ sauce on wings to his individual mayo and aioli sauces on the sandwiches; every single guest raved about the food. The service during our actual event was superb and they provided additional help setting up and breaking down. I highly recommend this venue for your event or just a dinner out.
Started out on the front nine thinking that the course was very nice. then I got to the back nine Wow. Very interesting layout with great course conditions. I will definitely be back!
I just had my daughter's dental graduation party at the club house this past weekend and I couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out. The food was awesome; in fact, all our guests raved about how good everything was. The staff and chef were awesome as well. Everyone was so helpful and the coordinator and chef made a point of coming up to me several times during the course of the party to make sure everything was to my liking. I would highly recommend using them for any function. Also, the view from the room is incredible and makes for great pictures. Again, thanks Kelsey, Chef Mike and staff because you made my daughter's party a success!
I always liked this course because the rates are cheap and the course is always challenging but it used to have a number of maintenance issues.
I played it today and I can't believe how much they have improved this course. The conditions were perfect from tee boxes to greens. An absolutely phenomenal experience.
I can't believe how much better this course has become. I am definitely going to play this course a few more Times this summer.
Nice course that requires ability to hit accurate approach shots. Got stuck behind a FIVESOME of 20 something punks who routinely 4 putted and walked off of the greens like they owned them. I thought that a nice course would be free of the pathology usually associated with public courses. I was wrong.
