Great shop, lots of stock in case you forgot something on vacation. Large variety of sizes on everything. Michael in the shop was super accommodating and even shared his local knowledge on the kite spots for the week. Highly recommend these guys.

What an awesome school!
My boyfriend and I went for a "sitter session" with Mike this past weekend and had an amazing experience!! I have been kiteboarding on and off for 3 years - mostly on vacation internationally and in south florida (Miami). Since i am always in new locations I have had a bunch of lessons and supervised sessions. Mike was BY FAR the best instructor I have ever had (and this wasnt even a lesson!). He was so helpful and gave amazing tips on equipment, technique, and kite spots in the area.
If you are in South Florida and considering learning how to Kiteboard, i definitely recommend making the drive to Islamorada and doing it with Mike - the value for money compared to other kite schools in SFLA is hands down the best.
Overall, Otherside, Mike and the kite spot exceeded my expectations by far - definitely worth the drive from Miami. Can't wait to come back!!response / report this review -

Great store and very helpful. We got to the keys and realized that we forgot our Bote SUP pump. Other side staff was friendly enough to loan us one to get pumped up. Thanks for saving us

I just went in to get a few supplies for my skateboard; bearings, bushings etc..
Micheal & Connor (employees: sales agents) were both there; Micheal offered to help switch out the bearings -before long they both realized my skateboard was difficult to modify.
They both worked diligently for waaaaaaaaaay longer than either bargained for!!!! (My brand of skateboard is rigged in a way which is not easy to switch anything on it)
But, when I road my board it was the smoothest, stable, best ride I've ever had on that damn thing!!!
These guys are awesome, hard working dudes and they care about there customers
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Our friend was struggling to learn kitting even after multiple lessons. Mike had him riding upwind his first lesson and self-sustained. Since then I have brought a few other friends that made good progress with Mike. The staff at the shop has also been very friendly and went above and beyond to help us with some gear issues.

I called because i wanted to get a Rent some Kiteboard Gear, I was told they lost a boat and he had to call me back in 20 mins, 40 minutes go by and I still did not get a call back so i called them back. He told me he was very busy and had not had a chance to call me back. But was all booked up for Kiteboarding lessons and they do not rent Gear. Which took about 5 seconds to say, so why not just say that rather than call me back Anyway, I told him that was fine I would make other plans, i just was waiting on a call back, so i could make other plans for the day. He started giving me Attitude saying After we hung up he could call be back if that would make me feel better. If you say you are going do to something then do it, otherwise just don't give some one a time. Also if pick up the phone have time to talk otherwise, let it go to voicemail. I would not trust these guys to say what they are going to do.

Went for a kitesurfing lesson on their boat, great people and an awesome spot. Highly recommended for anyone learning.
