Food is good so as the service. So far best Thai I had in Chicago downtown.
They were so delicious, good price and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
I'm so happy that I multiple locations for this local, family-owned Thai food restaurant. Their food is more authentic than most but not too impenetrable for the novice visitor. I especially love the panang curry and the Tigers cry. It's awesome.
2 words. Tiger cry. It's SO delicious. It's making me hungry just thinking about it. I always get the peanut lovers sauce. Amazing. The service is not that great. But it's one of those places that the food is just so good, I'll order 2 drinks and very quickly.
Had Panang Curry and Peanut Sauce. Ordered medium spicy but should have gotten hot. Food was still great. Highly recommend.
I love Thai food (I'm not an expert) but this place falls short in so many ways. Ended up here since its the closest Thai restaurant to Chinatown. First of it was slammed and understaffed, but somehow over staffed. Our poor server and the other we running everywhere, greeting, seating, busing , making drinks, taking orders, running food. There were two staff members standing behind the counterdoing to go? Or cashiering? Hard to say because they mainly stood there. Two other people sat at a table with silverware just kind of staring..(maybe family? New? Delivery guys?) The girl cashier made our Thai tea but couldn't be bothered to walk around the bar to our table to deliver it. (Our server was quadruple sat and neck deep taking orders). The male cashier (owner? Manager?) Just stood there staring at the POS system. Food arrives in a good amount of timemy curry was average. My boyfriends was better. Thai tea was good.
Bottom line. Management help your staff. Food is okay but I'd say it is worth the trip to go to a different part of town where employees are treated well.
Great Thai food. The tiger cry appetizer is a must try and must order every time. Get the green curry with chicken medium spicy and the minced beef with basil medium spicy (rice on side). Thai iced tea is great too. My husband loves their curry fried rice with chicken.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago. Every dish is expertly prepared and delicious! Their shrimp Pad Thai is the best I've had. Tiger Cry is the go-to appetizer! And according to my husband, Sticky Rice with Mango is a "taste of tropical heaven!"
Absolutely fire. Can't stop ordering from here ever since we started.
I've gotten the Garlic entree every time and honestly can't stop ordering it also the Tiger Cry paired with sticky rice is just the bee's knees. We've also tried the Moo Ping and it's fantastic too. And of course you just have to order the chicken satay!!
I only wish that we didn't get a lot of fees tacked on for delivery- other than that this place is 5 stars.
So happy I found a great Thai place in my part of town!
We only had desserts. Sticky rice and mango sticky rice with coconut milk. I liked it a lot, tastes almost exactly like the ones I tried in Thailand. Service was courteous and fast.
This is a wonderful spot for flavorful, healthy, Thai food. Service is prompt. It's perfect for dates, or bigger crowds with family. We always order the Tiger Cry, red curry with shrimp and a noodle dish.
Great food I've been coming here since my oldest was born and now she's hooked. Great place for a first date.
Got take out from here that was pretty good. Had the fried wonton, egg rolls, and their version of spicy crazy noodles. I enjoyed all three! I recently bought 2 orders of egg drop soup from here and was extremely disappointed. They made scrambled eggs and "dropped" it into chicken broth. I know this place is not Chinese but don't serve items you do not know how to make
I review Pad Thai at every Thai restaurant I go to. This place had a nice ambience (with some pretty paintings and golden sculptures and headdresses evocative of Thailand) but the food really stood out.
My partner and I each ordered Pad Thai, me with rice noodles and her with bean noodles. The portions were generous (we both have leftovers) and most importantly, the dishes did not suffer from "mystery red sauce" that far too many American Thai restaurants use as a cheap cop out to real cooking. Real Pad Thai should have a slight yellow orange tint from the tamarind and fried egg but not be radioactive red!
There were plenty of beansprouts, green onion, and egg in the mix. Interestingly, this establishment adds shredded cabbage and thin sliced carrot to the dish too, which adds a great texture contrast with the soft, chewy noodles.
I'm not a tofu expert but it was a bit crispy on the outside (could have been a bit more, in my opinion) but also plentiful. They did not skimp. The price was great too, especially for Chicago.
The non local beers were overpriced but I don't know what Chicago's alcohol taxes are.
All and all, some of the best pad Thai I've eaten outside of Thailand.
Great Thai food. The tiger cry appetizer is a must try and must order every time. Get the green curry with chicken medium spicy and the minced beef with basil medium spicy (rice on side). Thai iced tea is great too.
