Visited on an early October morning and watched a beautiful sunrise over Lake Ontario from the end of the pier.
Numerous fishermen trying for salmon, trout and perch.
The beach looked nice with volleyball nets and picnic areas barbecue grills.
I grew up in the area and still visit often. Abbott's frozen custard and a nice playground make it a nice stop with your kids. The beach is usually well groomed and an excellent place to view sunrises and sunsets.
Being from Southern California we really enjoyed coming to Ontario beach. The contrast of the park an beach was awesome. We loved the long pier that you can walk out on to see the boats sail out on the fresh water. Best part no sharks.
It's something that we don't take for granted living near one of the Great Lakes. It's beautiful. Love to walk the boardwalk & of course having Abbott's custard which is a great local brand of ice cream. It's part of the ambience & reason to go to the Ontario Beach Park.😊
Beautiful beach. Took all 4 kids and Grandma. We all had fun. Clean, well kept beach with lifeguards. The pier is amazing and gives you a great view and a relaxing walk. This was the first time my 3 year old had been to a beach. She wants to go again tomorrow!
Good place for a walk along the beach or out to the lighthouse. There are a few pavilions with grills for picnics and/or large groups. The carousel is fun but it's usually pretty crowded, especially in the summer. Finding a place to park is never an issue, as they have a very large parking lot. There are also several good restaurants nearby. Probably not the best place to be late at night - we lived down the street and it seemed like there were always police responding to something down there. We never had any issues while we were there during the day or early evening so I'm sure it's fine. That was just our observation. Still a fun little park.
Great place to grab an Abbott's custard and stroll along the pier. Can't help but love the antique carousel, or grabbing a bite at the diner in the ferry terminal, sitting out on the deck by the river and watching the boats going by. Perfect on a weeknight evening, particularly when it's not too crowded. Can get really crazy down there, though, especially in high summer, and becomes more like a resort town with parties and drinkers getting rowdy till the bars close (yes, I lived down there for a couple years-- loved the winter when it felt like a small town hidden away from the rest of the city, but left after 2 summers cause I couldn't take the engines and the noise every weekend from May through September.)
What a great place to have some fun with some friends!
Family friendly parl with clean beach and a very long pier. I personally walk it along with hundreds of others.
There are fine dining and nightly entertainment restaurants and fun family cafes established along the Rochester, NY Port if entry where you can relax and watch large cargo ships and personal water crafts come into. Lots to see and do.
Nice view of Lake Ontario. Park is well-maintained. Good place for a picnic or swimming in the summer.
Great place I. Early spring take photos not crowded at all
I have been to Ontario Beach Park several times and each time I have truly enjoyed the beauty of this park.
