Delicious food, and great service. I got the Shepard pie and it was great! My husband ordered the corned beef and veggies, just as tasty. Will certainly go back.
Even though I didn't like the fish and chips (the batter is sweet), everyone else in our party enjoyed their entrees. We were a large party and they were very accommodating. The pub is very cozy and has themed decor.
Fantastic pub for all ages. Don't miss the pot roast or sliders. A wonderful private fun place with excellent service. You will not be disappointed.
Great food and atmosphere. Authentic feeling old Irish pub, as the name suggests. Good beer selection, whiskey, too. Staff is fantastic. A favorite spot.
The decor is very cozy and very private, looks gorgeous on the inside. The staff seems very nice. Unfortunately the food all seemed to have the same flavor. Nothing was very seasoned and even for pub food it was just too simple, and the only flavor seemed to be Guinness. Not too impressed with the food but it's a great place for watching games and having a drink.
Great fare at a quaint location. Very nice staff as well. The fries they serve are not only great tasting but they have a dual purpose. They're great for stuffing in your ears when the people in the booth behind you are too noisy!
My wife and I have been here a few times now and have loved the food and service every time. This past time we went in for Brunch and were immediately seated (surprise, usually everywhere has a wait for brunch) We were tended to very quickly and politely, we were also made aware of the bar opening at 12:30. We opted for coffee for the moment and ordered our food selections. My wife had the Pecan French toast which was huge and delicious. I had the corn-beef hash which was also awesome. We also ordered drinks which were from a large menu with numerous varieties. We love the atmosphere here, straight out of Ireland with large wood booths and wood table seating. There is also outdoor covered patio seating. The restaurant is clean and everyone is very nice, even the manager who stopped by our table to check how everything was going. If you haven't been i hope this persuades you to try it for yourself. Cheers!
OBD has consistently been a great place to go with family and friends, and everything we have had on the menu has been good.
But of all the food and drinks they serve, the thing I tell most people about is the beer-cheese dip with pretzel bread. In the past few years, we have stopped there more than once to pickup the beer-cheese dip + pretzel bread to bring to parties we have attended at friends house; not to be missed.
Their Dog House salad with blackened chicken (itself, very good) is one of my favorites.
Their Monte Cristo is also phenomenal; I just don't get it as often because it is also quite filling but I have no self control to stop eating whenever it is served.
Definitely recommended for a general friendly gathering or for a special occasion.
I like the place, good beer range and it's well served, but I just wish they would show the English Premier League soccer. I often call in for breakfast, see it's not on and walk straight out. Hardly anywhere locally is open for the early morning games at the weekend, so I'm sure they could get a few people in if it was on regularly.
Update 7/4/17 I have returned several times and found the staff great on every visitincluding kindly switching over to the Soccer! Keep up the good work.
Tonight wad my first visitof many more to come. The Guinness was just as it should be. We ordered 3 appitizers and shared so there was enough to go around without filling us up for dinner. I had a burger built to my liking and enjoyed every bite of it and the fries just made it even better. The staff was friendly while also not overdoing the kindness. I think I found a new favorite restaurant. I will definitely be visiting again. Cheers to the staff and owners 🍺🍻
If I leave aside the fact that they have a life size statue of a Scotsman at the front door, this is a great Irish pub. The bar is one of the best around! It's a fun place to be on Saint Patty's Day. It would be 5 stars, but when I order a Black & Tan or a Half & Half, it never comes out right. They should figure that out. Food is fabulous, too!
Went for their St. Patrick's Day party which was packed. I love their decor, energy, and location. They ran out of baileys half way through the night (wouldn't be a big issue, except that was one of the big products they were pushing for the event). Grabbed some Scotch Eggs as well at the bar which were off not the Chef's fault but the recipe.
I had a great experience here. I came at about 11:00 and I was surprised how many people were there but that sat me quickly. The service was quick and polite and I would recommend the fish and chips.
Very much enjoyed this place. Get Irish and Scottish style bar food like Scotch Eggs and Homemade chips.
We had nice but slow service.
Food was above average but the coolest thing is the ambience. You should eat here just to experience one time. I really feel that better servers could vastly complete the Irish experience.
