Old school gym. No air conditioning, great place, good swet, no frew frew.
I liked this gym alot. I get the dont drop the deadlift bar because you dont want to ruin the eqipment. The gym i used to go to could care less and it was a way nicer gym. That's not the reason i am leaving.I did have a man spray my maching with grease or wd40 in between sets. Next thing you know i had gotten grease all over me. I felt like they should do that kinda stuff at there closing time. Wright after that happend the same man who sprayed my machine came to me and my freind telling use to go put back the stuff we used. I told him we put back everthing and said yeah you left youre kettle ball and chains out. Ive never even used a kettle ball before but i told him id put it back even though it wasent mine. He spoke to my very ruidly btw. He should have just asked me if it was mine instead of assuming. Im just trying to get a pump on and be left alone. Im really not the type to wright a review or say negative things but this really botherd me that day and i made me not want to go anymore.
Great old-time gym with a great price for daily, weekly, monthly or longer
I'm a fan of the no A/C. Muscles stay warm and I've never pulled anything.
Old school & no frills gym. It does the job! $15 per workout, they have towels, restroom, showers, but no water fountain. Tons of weights (varying degrees of use), cross fit stuff, punching bags, & cardio equipment (treadmill & bikes). Guy at the front desk was very nice & polite.
Totally old-school lifting gym. The opposite of Equinox. I mean all of the following in the best possible way: hot; sweaty; mismatched old equipment (but a surprisingly complete selection, including unusual grip machines); no AC; maybe two fans; pictures of Arnold and other bodybuilders on the walls; 100lb plates; old salty shirtless bodybuilders in giant pairs of Skidz; teenagers trying to get huge and fumbling with bad workout styles For a certain type of athlete, this is the real deal. I love this place.
I`ve been going to OTF over 2 years now, they have all kinds of various machines, even rings and punching bags! Not every gym has them. Nice outside area where you can do some crossfit WODs. Taking 1 star off for not having an A/C.
Excellent, old-school gym for the bodybuilding enthusiast. If your looking for a gym with all the bells & whistles & pretty, this gym is not for you.
Not sure about the other reviews but the Positive reviews convinced me to try this gym. I wanted to save five dollars over the brand-new gym over by the docks. The day pass was $15 here versus $20 there.
When I walked in the open doors, as a no air conditioning, the man stench was overwhelming the equipment was all rusty and more than ready for the trash. I would've needed a tetanus shot and a respirator to stay there!!! I immediately left and bikes to the other gym and gladly spent five dollars more there.
I was really fooled by the positive reviews for old town fitness.
