It is a great place to stay. It is a peaceful environment and the maintenance is great. The apartment style is not as modern but it is comfortable and cozy nonetheless!

One of the main reasons that I moved to this apartment complex because it was gated. The gates are left wide-open sometimes another one over by building three where you exit has been open for days. I have reported this several times and it seems like it’s fixed for a day or so but then they are wide-open again. There’s been a guy with a bicycle walking around in the complex several times and he even looked in my patio windows one day when it was icy outside. I don’t feel completely safe. There’s got to be something that can be done to fix those gates.

We love living at Old Shepard Place! The management is so helpful and positive. Maintenance is on the ball with repairs. We love this place for so many reasons - the beautiful greenery, the play ground, and so much open space.

The people were great, super homey and safe. Management was kind and they kept up with the outside very well. But, it gets a 1 star for the bug infestation and the mold. I told management over and over about the roaches and from the day I moved how it wasn’t clean and I was finding the people before me trash. They did nothing and this isn’t just a couple roaches here and there. This is finding nests of them in your home and then getting in every square inch! Disgusting!

This is an honest review from a resident who lived there for 4 long years.

It is a nice place to live with pets and children. Residents are friendly and lively.

But the management is not so friendly to residents. They loot you up when you move out and newly they introduced fetch service which they made compulsory even though you have Amazon membership. They expect you to give the flat as new as when you join. The pest problem is everywhere in the apartments. They charged $300 almost for painting. Beware and careful with those hefty charges and another $200 for cleaning service even though I hired a maid to clean and I maintain the home very neatly. So in total they won’t return your deposit how ever clean you maintain the home.

When I ask the management about the charges they are very stubborn and stick to their point.

Guys learn from my experience and think twice before you move to this place. Don’t fall for their sweet words. They are nice to you until you move in. After that for maintenance and move out and other extraordinary charges or fees. Your brain fries. BE CAREFUL!!!
