We go here every time we come to Grand Haven! Always good service, always good food, and always good beer! Love the pictures of dogs! We immediately feel like family every time we go in. Which is nice cause lots of other places treat you like out of townies

We went here for the deck and when we arrived were informed it was closed. It's a gorgeous night, blue skies, but it sprinkled a little earlier and apparently everything was wet. So we went across the street to the Holiday Inn where their deck was packed.

Got seated really fast but it was all down hill from there. Our waiter took our drink order and they came to the table a little longer then it should of. Then our waiter told us he was leaving for the night and he could take our order or wait for the waitress that would be taking over. We placed our order which was 3 burgers, a fish and chips and 2 appetizers. We ended up waiting for an hour just for apps and about 5 minutes later got our food. The fish and chips came out as a fish sandwich with barely any fish on it and the burgers luke warm. When we asked to speak to the manager he came over and didn't even let is know he was the manager and thought he was a bus boy taking our plates. When he came over again he said he would see what he could do for us on the bills. On 2 bills over 50 bucks each he took a total of 19 bucks off and didn't come back to see if we were satisfied. The only shining light was the waitress that we got that had only been there 2 says. Would never go back again.

A great place for drinks AND food. I was blown away by the quality of food coming out of this brewery kitchen. The place was clean, well lit, has great outdoor seating and live music (and not too loud either). At peak times you can expect a wait, but it's worth it. I would definitely go here again for food or drinks. We had two appetizers that you wouldn't expect from a brewery, beer battered asparagus and lobster egg rolls. As you can see in my photo, it was so good I didn't have a chance to snap a good pic :)

I thought everything here was just "alright". The food was alright, the service was alright; there was nothing really notable here for me. Being so close to the water was what was really enjoyable, but my husband and I came in the Spring when it was too cold to sit outside. My husband enjoyed the microbrews, but I think we'd just go back here to drink and not necessarily to eat.

Service was great both times we were here. Brought our boys and we were hoping for some live music but there wasn't any the night we were here with them so I guess we just have to make another trip, oh darn! Fire place on our back was nice and we love dogs. See you soon!

My husband and I feel like Old Boys is generally a good place to go for beer and bar food. When the kitchen staff is on the food is really great. Service can be hit or miss but we love sitting outside along the river in the summer. Inside is really noisy during busy times. My husband prefers the beers at The Armory, Odd Side or Unruly but I really like the stouts and dark beers they have. We also like the theme of the place with the dog pics all over the walls.

We went here randomly on a Saturday afternoon. They had great beer selections. They even had a Kolsch on tap in the winter. My fiance is vegan and was able to make her own pizza. She ordered the garlic marinara and had no issues. Our server Halliegh was amazing. Really helpful and gave us multiple samplers. The deep fried pickles were awesome and I would suggest the pizza. Order your meat one version above what you want.

Their kitchen is incompetent. My fiancée and I both ordered burgers. I ordered medium and medium-well for her. BOTH came back medium-rare. While I just kept mine we sent hers back and ordered it as well done. After a long wait her second burger it came back medium at best which we just took to go so we could get out of there ASAP. Was kind of amazed they didn't adjust the bill in any way. We generally think this place is awful and only went because we had a gift certificate.
