PROS: Tried this place this past weekend on a family trip to Fort Worth with my in-laws and have to say what I tried food-wise (I ordered the avacado turkey wrap with fruit. The fruit was good and so was the wrap, although their was no sauce so it was somewhat dry, which I corrected with ranch dressing) was pretty good. My husband's pancakes were good and seemed to have a cornbread like element to them, and my mother-in-law's German pancake with lemon and butter was decadent. The waitresses was very impressive as she remembered the orders of our 14 person table without writing a stitch of it down. Blew me away. She was also very prompt, friendly and checked on us often. With a party as large as ours we called them about 20 minutes before we got there and asked if they took reservations, they said they take call ahead 15 min out and so my husband went ahead and put our name in, and we ended up getting seated right away which was great considering the size of our party.
CONS: When I went to the women's restroom, I went into one of the stalls with my 2-year-old son and saw a pretty large and horrifying cockroach next to the base of the toiletnot something I want to see at a place I'm eatingresponse / report this review -

I absolutely love the German pancakes. The coffee here is also the best. I’m not a coffee drinker anymore but anytime I come here I have 3 cups. Great service and comfortable seating.

Went in on a Saturday I was really busy but because of the size of restaurant many people were coming and going rather quickly so we waited about 15 minutes. I ordered chicken strips and waffle it was very tasty the waffle was very large the meal size was good for the cost and the chicken strips were crunchy and tender. My husband ordered pancakes, eggs with cheese, chicken fried steak with gravy. He said everything was very delicious the eggs were properly cooked scrambled. Steak cooked well done. My son ordered short stack with strawberry and banana. He said it was light and fluffy and appealing.

Ironically, between my wife's pancakes and my waffle, we liked my waffle better, but they were both delicious! It was packed, but we still got our food rather quickly. Great place to really experience the southern hospitality!

Loved the food! Loved our waitress! Krissy was awesome! I wish there were more people in this world like her. Great personality and a wonderful person to talk with! Sending my friends for the food, but she was a delight and want all my friends to sit in her section!! Atmosphere was fun, too, with the ’70's music! Did I say yummy food?!

Went later in the evening, around 8:30, to have breakfast for dinner. Overheard a couple complaining about the quality of the service or rather the lack thereof in spite of the fact that there seemed to be adequate staff and the dining area was mostly empty. For my part the waitress gave great service and was very accommodating, going so far as to make us a fresh pot of stronger coffee (I'm used to mud, not colored water). The food was good.

Our daughter told us about this place and it was as good as she had described. It was impossible to eat everything on our plates, even though everything tasted great. Our server was outstanding and everyone there was really nice and ensured we were being taken care of. Outstanding place!

I have been coming to this place all my life. But, in the last couple of years something has changed. Every time we go there is something wrong with the food. Tonight we took our granddaughters out to eat and they chose to come here. To start, they ordered a sprite and root beer. Both of them were over carbonated and not drinkable. So we sent those back and ordered sweet tea for them. Then the food arrived. I order chicken fried steak. The batter was burned and when I cut into it, all the batter slid off the meat in one fell swoop. The one bite of meat I took was rubbery and unseasoned (gross) so I sent it back and ordered the hamburger club. It arrived and we were disappointed again. The bacon was under cooked and the french fries were all soggy, floppy and dripping with grease. At this point I gave up and decided I wasn't eating dinner tonight. Then my youngest granddaughter who was trying to eat 4 little chicken nuggets cries out because she bit into a piece of super hard bone or gristle and hurt her gums. Managements response was to remove her meal and mine from the check delivered with a half a**ed "Sorry". They didn't even offer to replace her meal. I think they assumed by that time that we were done. The only reason I gave them one star is because we had a very nice waitress who despite the poor food quality did her best to make it right. I have been in here when they twice as busy as what they were tonight (we beat the dinner rush) and they were spot on for everything. There is just no excuse for what we got tonight. We will not be going back.

Pretty much everything. Recommend the cinnamon rolls, Pancakes (of course,) burgers, or chicken fried steak. Their pies are also fabulous, if they're not sold out. XDresponse / report this review -

Love the food. The german pancake options are fabulous. 4 stars because the 2 times I've been there the service was not that great. The food saved this from a 3 star rating.

Pancakes were great! This place has an old coffee shop kind of atmosphere. Service was very friendly and the place has a very laid back feelhawaiian shirt friendly! Coffee was good but not great. Lots of merchandise with their namemugs and other stuff. Fun place to bring the family!

Food is not what I expected. The only thing that was good on the menu was the pancakes and eggs. Sweet tea was good as well. Atmosphere was good, very family-oriented. Not a resturant I would recommend to anyone or ever go to again. Waste of money. Please do not waste your time here.

Great late night food, just be ready for any type of atmosphere.. It goes from quiet to crazy really quick sometimes.. Especially late night weekends.. DEFINITELY THE GO-TO PLACE FOR "LOWERING THE 0.66% B. A. C." COFFEE, & THE "HOW DID I GET HERE" WAFFLESBUT MOST DEFINITELY EAT THE GERMAN PANCAKES.. they are psychedelic.. (not really, but you got to try them! )
