It was a good place to eat eat burgers & drink good beer. Big choice of beers. High quality of ingredients. Everything with perfect music and friendly, attentive and helpful staff.
Love it. Ride up on weekends, good food and drinks, nice staff, good customers. All there to have a good time.
Nice location, nice patio, nice decor, decent food, but obscenely overpriced kids' food, at $10 per plate, and drink, at $4 or $5 for a kids' apple juice.
Great biker bar with biker bar Flair. During this week this place turns into more of a specialized middle to high-end place. What I mean is that a typical sandwich will run you about 13 to $15. They do make great steaks and burgers as well. Expect to pay for that though.
Saturdays and Sundays this place is a true biker bar. Tons of motorcycles outside. You can pick up something like a burger, or a tri-tip sandwich. You come here for the atmosphere, and the chill vibe. There is live music usually on the weekend.
This place can be its own destination. Or you can use it as a meet spot, and launch pad, to head up to Santa Barbara, or take the canyon into the Grapevine. Most people from Parts North will usually go from here to the mulholland "snake" in the town of Cornell. Most people from Parts South will use this as a Midway point to then head up to Cold Spring tavern in the Santa Barbara area.
If you just want to come here for a drink, there's tons of great restaurants that are affordable so to speak in the area as well.
Cool vibe, love the outdoor patio. Food is pretty good, loved the burgers. Salad has way too much dressing. Ask for dressing on side next time. Missed the live music but cool place.
The best thing about this place is Happy Hour all day on Monday. The prices are reasonable and most of the appetizers are good. The chicken tenders are probably the worst thing on the menu. I'd recommend the fries and peppers. Good beer selection ($5 during happy hour). The only other issue is that there are a ton of flies outside and they can be pretty annoying. Not sure how that can be fixed. Otherwise, good experience overall.
My girlfriend and I first visited Deer Lodge 8n 2012 and loved it. Great ambiance, really unique menu, and delicious food. Unfortunately not all things in Ojai can remain the same. Three years later and the ambiance/decor remain the same, but the menu sadly has not. Its now mainly BBQ and basic gastropub. The bison burger was a major let down with a poor bun to patty ratio and a dry bun. The BBQ was good, but not worth a repeat visit. The only saving grace was the goat cheese cheesecake which was amazing.
Beautiful rustic location. Have eaten here several times and I have always had great service and delicious food.
Food, great music, tasty beer. Inside and out seating. It is a great place to stop off after hiking the punch bowls or matilija canyon
Very nice ,service was good decor is great. Great place to relax
Bison burgers were awesome. The atmosphere is also great! This place would definitely put you in a good mood. Unfortunately on the night of our visit a few of the beers were tapped out and the service seemed slow. This was my first time visiting but I'll be visiting again this weekend so stay tuned for an update.
Ive been coming here for last 4 yrsit's definitely getting better and better with food. Good selection of craft beer on tap. Very good hamburger and truffle brussel sprout. Wish the music started earlier 9.30 and 10 too late . The former owners had music in the afternoons! Please bring that back your get more folks!. Young women owners and servers. Crowd all ages.
