There are only a few good reasons for needing to be spending the night in a town such as Ocotillo.

If you do, this is about the only place.

The rooms are tired and in need of a remodel. But. The owner is friendly. The rooms are clean. The showers are good. It seems safe and secure. It's about all you should expect, and it makes the mark quite well.

This motel is the definition of highway robbery. Upon arrival, you'll wonder if this rundown desert stop is open for business. The office is a dusty mess of hoarded worthless trinkets that would scare off any would-be customer with other options. If, however, you're traveling by bicycle and have no other options (the motel is located on a popular cross country bike route) you'll make your way to the room and immediately notice the flimsy door, stained carpet, mildewed bathroom, and worst of all an inadequate AC in the desert! All of this would be fine if they charged 25 bucks a night, but at $50 I felt they should have more to offer. PS. Did I mention the cock roaches?
